I loved this design the moment is came out but I've never gotten round to stitching it. Pollyanna's Lamplighter is the other one and that is just as gorgeous. Muchly envious!
Neat looking kit - have you ever used any of those threads before? I see a thing of Madeira stuck on the cover of some of the British XS magazines sometimes, but I've never bought one, never used any of it...
Great start - I love these designs, but don't have any, yet. Since I just got my first Drawn Thread, maybe one of these will make it's way to my stash one of these days, too :) I can't wait to see your updates on this!
Well I've stitched some more and I can honestly say the cotton threads in this pack stitch up just like DMC. No better no worse. Definitely on my "OK to use" list. The metallic spools are stitching up well too. Like Kreinik blending filament in size and consistency but they stitch up so much better! No kinking or knotting. I used a sizable length without hassle - only problem was sonme fraying at the end which you get in all metallics.
So far these threads have all been quite easy to work with.

Great start! I have one of hers from Jubilee '08 that I haven't started yet. I don't remember if it's this one or the Lamplighter

I'm using Madeira silks in Dutch Beauty. When I started that in 1995, they were the only silks available :)
I haven't used any of the metallics spools though.
