Humour me

Ok this is a little something I read elsewhere and thought we could do a blog version of it.

Pick one of my "friends" or "contacts" you know (i.e. someone who will read this blog entry).

In the comments below, pay them a compliment.

A specific compliment to them.  Not just a "dude you are awesome" but something that you honestly mean and think about when you think of that person.

I'll start off .... please join in!

HeyPaula, I think you are the nicest person I ever met. No matter how much some of us snark, you never join in and you always try to see the best of people. I admire you for that.

As I only know a couple of your friends I will post the following:
Jazzmatic Jim is a good friend and a very good photographer. He has excellent taste in beer and women (shhh do not let Jen know I complimented her as well). He is always considerate and is very proper when he debates.
Thank you for being my friend

Hi Sisu, I really love your wit and your ability to tell a story, especially about the little critters you encounter. Your tendernous and humor remind me of the James Herriot stories.

Stephanie, I can't tell you how much I admire your strength, determination and dedication to your education and career change. You are already an excellent doctor because you bring such compassion and empathy to your patients and their families along with your skill.

Karen, I love your long winded explanations in everything you discuss. I come to expect nothing less from you. I also respect your artistic interpretations in the fabric and floss hobby that we share!

Mel, I always enjoy reading your blogs and especially love the antics of Trub. She has such a wonderful personality and the look on her face when she is caught doing something she shouldn't be doing is wonderful. Mel you are such a lovely person and often voice what I am thinking and am too chicken to voice myself.

Claire is my friend. Despite having 'stuff' to deal with she works at making her friends feel important. I cherish her wicked sense of humour and direct way. I'm very happy that she calls me friend as well.

Claire, I admire you for your strength through all your health problems. If they (or other things) get too much you'll withdraw for a while, and when you feel you're ready to face the world again you come back with the same old snarky humour and your wonderful photographs!

Posted while I was writing mine to Claire :-) I like that coincidence!

Keep it up Frd my friend. ;))

Agree with you on the taste in women thing but got a long way to go to become average at photography but I thank you just the same.

Tina, You (among others already listed) are one of those few rare women who I feel I can respect. You are intelligent and funny, your sense of humor and sarcastic wit crack me up. And despite being a strong and resolute woman, you have a soft spot for the occasional cute little furry who needs a good home. Your firm without being hard.

Anita, you are such an incredibly kind and caring person! Your zest for life and perseverance through it's troubles are an inspiration to everyone. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to get to know you better.

Paula, your generosity and caring never cease to amaze me; even when you off on deployment or in the thick of things at work and elsewhere, it seems that you still are always sparing thoughts and efforts for your friends. I thank you for being you.

Paula...for having such a good heart and taking the long term "RR" ribbing.

Jim...for being the most adorable man in real life and introducing me to a whole new world of people.

Karen...for the interesting views you have on so many things and the sheer intelligence which oozes out of you...

Voldie, Spice, Moony, Happy, and The Minion....just for being you...which makes you all special in my eyes.

Nancy and Karen, I look forward to posts and blogs from both of you. You are so funny and inspiring I feel blessed to call you friends. You really keep me on my toes with all your stitching updates and have helped me through some stitching slumps! (You probably didn't even know that!)

Mel, you always seem to know when I need a little pick me up. I love your perseverance and determination. I also really admire that you were willing to open your heart again after all you've been through. You're such a strong woman and I greatly admire you!

Mariann, I love our chats. I'm so thrilled when we're online at the same time and you're willing to spend the time chatting with me. You are so talented and have such a generous nature.

Claire, you are just a miracle. I cannot imagine how I would deal were I in your situation but you do it with such grace that you're truly inpsiring. Oh, and you like purple and bunnies. You have to be fab!

Wow, I could really go on and on about so many of you! This is a great idea, Mel!

Lori, you are such an amazing mom and wife and keep such a positive spirit and outlook as you fight the RA. Keep smiling, keep stitching as your hands allow, and keep showing me patterns that you know I'll have to stitch :-)

Thank you everyone for participating in this :)

You really brought smiles to my face over the past week or so and I hope it also made each of you smile too!
