House - we haz one!

Not sure how long the link will work, but we were accepted on this property an hour ago.

Unfortunately we can't move in for another four weeks.

That means Trubs in the cattery for another four weeks.
Being without my cross stitch or any other stuff for four weeks.

Oh well.

At least we have one - and it is a house that both Stephen and I loved the feel of as we walked through it.  It has everything we wanted (except a dishwasher) and we know we will love it there.

Excellent news. It gets exciting now what with all the planning and stuff.

Lovely house. Remember to visit HRH regularly and tell her all about her new palace! Then she will be good and ready to come home with you in 4 weeks.

I spoke with the Cattery people yesterday - she has them wrapped around her littlest paw already. They've moved her from the usual quarters to the VIP quarters because she wouldn;t climb up the levels in the usual apartments. So little miss gets a one floor long apartment, with a window view out onto the grounds and pure sunlight streaming in, simply because she's elderly.

Cunning is more like it !!!!

Sounds like my old dog. He was in kennels for 12 weeks while we moved. He had his own heat lamp and run and while the kennel girls were cleaning, the left his door open so he could watch from his bed. He used to be an oasis of calm in a room full of hysterical dogs! the kennel maids loved him to bits because for a Pei, he was so easygoing.

Sounds like she has fallen on her paws again with her special accommodation but she is is a typical tortie and you have to know know one to understand the mentality!

Congrats on finding one so soon! Looks great! Oh and Snark-su wants to say, she hopes it DOESN'T come furnished as that couch still has her eyeballs stinging! LOL.
Trubs is hilarious. 'Elderly'. As if she is ready for her little kitty walker? Yeah, she is playing them like a fiddle.

It will be completely empty :)

The reason we are getting such a big place is because we have a houseful of furniture each! We need the storage space while we go through our stuff and pare it down into one houseful - not three :)

HA !!!!

Its not a patch on your place! Your place is gorgeous!

Wow, that looks great!! Beautiful floors, and the garden out front looks nice!

I had 2 of my cats in boarding for almost 2 months when we moved here and were house-hunting. Since they were long-term, they pretty much had the run of the Cat Room :) It was a long time in between visits to them, and our "weird" cat that we rarely saw in the old apartment apparently took to vet living, as on one visit , he had plumped up to a big ball of fur and actually purred and made biscuits - he'd always been a scraggly thing, and anti-social before that. Those girls created a monster :)

Looks amazing!! Just beautiful! I am sure the 4 weeks will just fly by and before you know it, you guys will be knee deep in boxes and no where to put them! LOL! That Trubs has the cattery all jumping to her tune already! Leave it to a spoiled cat to figure out a way to remain the 'Queen' kitty.

Congrats on a great place! I'm jealous! I love the yard...

Sounds like Trubs is having the time of her life. Hope the next 4 weeks fly quickly for you!

Good for the both of you! That's one problem down, only one to go :-)

Moving in should be a great event!

The house looks nice, though I'm sure that a) your furniture will look better and b) when you're living there it should look even nicer :-) I thought it wasn't presented as well as it could be, but it looks nice and spacious! Can't wait to see photos after you've moved in!

Looks wonderful, Mel - and I agree, I'm glad you'll have your own furniture!!!

I knew this move would be just the thing....
Only thing is, your proximity to Janine....Don't take your card, take cash only! LOL.

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to look at any of this yesterday.. and the link doesn't work any more! I'll just have to wait for "after" pics when you're moved in!

LOL! She definitely wont be in walking distance - it would have to be a planned visit and as such there will be less impulse purchases - well until I start earning my own wage again at least :)
