Hello Perth

Morning all,

Well we made it.  My stuff is in storage and Trubs and I are now in Perth.  Trubs is settled into a very nice looking cattery and I have caught up on sleep, food and some cuddles.

Stephen is off to work today and I'm putting in at least on expression of interest for a job and then spending the day house hunting.

Life is much better with food, sleep and waking up to someone else's arm draped over you.

That must be lovely and make it all worthwhile.
Glad you arrived safely.
I do feel sorry for Trubs, schleped from one side of the country to the other and then stuck in a small room...she'll be thinking her name is Phredd soon.

Glad you arrived safe and sound! Mr. NTB's place not big enough for all of you or is it a bit too soon for that?

He's in a small apartment that doesn't allow pets. Its realistically too small for both us humans so it would not be good for Trubs. Part of the reason for getting me over here so quickly is I can now spend time finding a bigger place for the three of us, while Stephen continues to work miracles for long hours at his work.

Welcome home! It's time for your weather pixies to converge! :o)
Good luck finding a new place for the three of you.

Glad to hear you made it!!! Trubs is probably secretly enjoying the cattery, although she'll never admit it. Good luck with the job and house hunt!

Glad to hear from you. Good luck with the house and job hunting. How did you get Trubs to Perth? Did you drive? Waking up next to someone is certainly the best way to go.

Its over 2000 miles. We flew :) The car will arrive via the transport carrier late next week.

I have had a wicked vision of one girl and her beloved cat making a road movie while traversing the vast emptiness that is the Nullabor! Then you flew so the movie became watching the flight progress on Virgin Blues website. My illusion was shattered!

Well if you could have guaranteed I'd meet Brad Pitt on the way .... :) :)

Seriously its a four day drive and far too long for a single person to drive alone. Especially this lone person has driven no more than 30 minutes a fortnight for the last 6 months. Nor would I keep Trubs in a carrier for four days when the six hour option is available ....

So happy to hear that you made it to your new home :) Good luck with the house search!

I keep telling you, Mikes grandad walked it, so it should be a doddle for a fit girl like you:))

I guessed you'd flown but obviously taking pets by plane is a lot easier there than here.
