We went on a bit of a goose chase today hunting down non-existent plastic bags for a reorganisation of my thread filing system, but on the way home we stopped by our local pet supply store.We love this store: it has a huge range, very friendly staff and assists local cat and dog rescue associations.
With a sale on, we decided that Christmas has come early for the cats. They have fresh dry food, new collars, new identity tags, new squishy toys and two pieces of furniture.
One is a tall cat tree (with sisal for scratching and sleeping platforms at a range of heights) and the other is a play box for Abby.
Here is video I shot of Abby's first meeting of the play box. It has two furry mice dangling from the ceiling inside the box.

they're going to love the tower, Mel! Söckli and Minou make ample use of theirs and love the sisal scratching posts!
Abby's playbox is lovely, too, though I think that those two mice inside won't survive her playing very long!
Tp be honest I'm quite surprised the mice have lasted THIS long :)

Trubs has not deigned to anything besides mark the corners of the chesse as hers. Playing is not dignified ...
At least your furkids have made more than the half-arsed effort at appearing enthusiastic than our do.
I think its the age thing. Abby has been the enthusiastic one and she's at least a decade younger than the rest of my and your furkids ...
Bah....Loki came to us at 4 months old & he was an "old soul" even then. Hard to believe he's only 4, he has a mid-life crisis attitude already.
Loki is only four? Well he fooled me! He seems very much like Trubs 14 and Pi 17 in his attitudes .....
Yes, he's a cat who has known his place in the world since the womb I suspect (pls note this is being typed with one hand as the other is in use stabilizing said kitty on shoulder where he insists on being RIGHT NOW)

Abby used to do this when she was smaller - but not now ... we thought at one point we should have called her Polly instead of Abby ....

Ziplock bags. 5" x 3.5" I thought they were Floss-Away bags, but the brand name Floss Away bags are slightly too small for my needs. These ones work but they seem to be an odd size. I can't find them anywhere except cross stitch shops and they're only sold in lots of 36. I need about 400.
