Mel's Sunday Update

First of all - how do you like the new look to the blog?  Is it still readable?

Secondly I have to report that I've done *no* stitching this week.

Thirdly I did stash and I did organise.

I decided to "let go" of my guilt and frustration over my slow stitching and my huge stash of charts that "must be started now now now".

So I took a leaf out of Annette's and Sisu's book and I stuck numbered labels on all of my kitted up projects and my charts and when I feel stuck about which project to work on this time, I let the dice choose for me.

We'll see how *this* mechanism works for me as time goes on .... rotations certainly don't work for me.

Anyway my only big news this week is that I stashed *big time* !!!!  I've been saving my pennies (OK truth be told, I raided my savings account as I went over budget as per usual) but I'm really happy with my purchases.  This time I concentrated on the little designers and the ones I cannot access easily - so I bypassed Inkcircles (sob) and Moonflower designs because I can buy from them any time I wish.  Those of you who *can* peruse my Lust List will recognise most of these as being on there since the last show ....

Now these links will only work while the Show is active so check them out now!!! not later!

Oh warning - I don't think of these actually qualify as BAPs - all small with a couple of medium projects I'm afraid.  But hey, I liked them!

Well, as usual, any pictures you've put in the blog I can't see....

I really like Attitude and the Dance of the Winter Solstice! Think I'll have to look into Autumnal Equinox a bit more....

Hi Mariann,

Now I can see all of Mel's stuff but can't see Cowgirls, and one other persons stuff that I could see before!! This is driving me crazy!! But thank Heavens, Mel's is back in view.

Wow - great stashing! and good luck on the new "pick my stitching" method! (I just want to get stitching again! everything seems to be conspiring against me!)

Good luck with the dice, and I like the new look :)

The new look....like it a lot, but as happened when I did Donna's site, the little reply tags are hidden.
Good luck with the dice. Both our rotations really went to pot this year LOL.

Wow, good stashing! Nevermore - that's an interesting piece! Poe's work is so visual - you should be able to get an entire line of charts out of it... I think a lot of people are finally catching onto the Celtic themes - not sure why it's taken so long, but I'm glad I'm seeing more and more of it.

I'm sure you'll let us know how the dice work out for you... I'm guessing that method would work for me right up until one of the eggheads "borrow" my dice - nothing in this house is sacred.

Ahh, the joys of living alone or with a man who rarely touches anything of mine and if he does, he asks first!

Hmm I am sure that somewhere on the web there is a random number generator - I think maybe I should use that :-)

I love my dice and have organized this to use them rather than a cold impersonal random generator. But as I said to you privately Hilary, each one of us has to find a method that works for US not for anyone else !!!!!

Yup and my dice live in their own tube, so that they don't get scattered or become Trubs newest toys ......

I was thinking of framing it in a double frame with the poem next to it.

I plan on doing the same thing with the Dimples "Wee Beasties" collection as they come with their own tale each that over the collection becomes one large story ....

That would be the screaming rotation for me...whatever calls loudest when I can see to stitch.
