Lorikeets Bathing

Tookthis this morning - not good quality, I had sheets on the clothes line and had to film through water on the meshing in screen between me and the water bowl - but I just wanted to see if I *could* take a video and upload it.

That's really cool! I've been trying to get good shots of my hummingbirds, but I haven't managed to get anything that wasn't a blur.... Maybe I need to use the movie function - need to go read up on it....

This is so awesome! I have to get to Australia some day. It is my dream trip!! Second dream trip is England!

I never realized that birds (any birds) would actually dunk themselves completely! Vick would have just loved to see that! And I'm like Chele, only in reverse, another trip to England, and then maybe I'll think about a trip to Australia. But, Mel, can I stay with you? LOL

Of course you can sweetheart:)

Hmmph, kind of jealous at the thought of you staying anywhere other than here.

Birds can be so funny. Gold star on the video upload :)

Very cool video! They probably seem common place to you, but it's just a real thrill to me to see birds like that just out and about in their natural surroundings. The most exotic thing that I've got in my yard is a blue jay....

Mel, This was very fun to watch. I had never seen a lorikeet before and it was very special to hear them too. You did a splendid job for your first try!

Thanks everyone. It was a very much "the spur of the moment" type things. I'll try and get a better set and put up someday. better angles, better lighting etc :)

This was fun to watch Mel! And like Paula said, pretty cool, cause those birds are just flying around your neighborhood. You did a great first try at video taping and uploading! Maggee

Can only re-iterate what's been said, especially by Paula! So cool to see those birds on your balcony!! And I'm also astonished that they actually go down on the water.

For a first try that was pretty good - you probably didn't have much time to set it up

I so hope to be able to actually come and maybe see some of them myself!!!
