Mel's "What day is it?" Update

Well life has had its downs recently and now it has a few ups.

I've landed a part time role at my local library as a skills librarian - a training role.  This is quite different to anything I've been formally hired to do before so I'm actually looking forward to it.  I start on 15 June 2009.  Its only part time and very poorly paid, but any money is better than no money.

I've also been stitching a lot lately.  As the above pic shows, I have two main forms of therapy and I get depressed when I don't pay attention to both of them.

I have updated my finished album.  I have three pieces finished so far this year and they are all Inkcircles designs.  This is pure serendipity!

I've finished my section on Claire's RR in our private round robin.

I've finally finished Part 2 of Vienna Ball.  On the day that Part 7 is released!

But I'm making progress and life looks like it might be on the way up.  I even got half of my books unpacked and on the shelves yesterday.  Now just to get the unpacking fairies to unpack while I sleep so I can spend the last remaining week of unemployment stitching.  Unfortunately that is not likely :(

First REAL Day in Perth

Thursday Trubs and I arrived very tired and I kinda zombied my way through the day.  Friday however, was a whole nother day!

Friday I lined up house viewings - 3 today, 2 on Monday and at least one more next Wednesday.

I finalised outstanding matters on the old place so I should be placing documents on Tuesday to get my bond returned.

I also found out I have a job interview for a very good job next Thursday!  I applied for this job a couple of weeks ago.

So things are looking very positive this Saturday morning :) :) :)

Diary of a Jobseeker Part 1

I think today's Dilbert is very appropriate for my first day job hunting.  Yes I know I was officially laid off last Friday, but I decided to take the weekend to rest and recover.
So far I've been having a good Monday.

Slept in until 8am.  Showered. Came downstairs. Checked email and read blogs for over an hour.  Got cold.  Went upstairs to get dressed.  Remembered why I was downstairs naked (I hadn't put away the washing pile yet). Came back downstairs.  Got dressed. Ate breakfast.

Ready to start the search and start contacting agencies.  Need to update resume with final details too.

So time to start the grand adventure !!!

(And for those of you who read this and don't know me so well ... don't bother lamenting the fact I am blogging instead of just getting on with it.  I do my things in the way it works best for me.  If you don't like it - stop reading!)
