{Mel blushes} This was a 6 month mystery Jul-Dec 2005. Yes it should have been finished by January this year .....

Nate also did this one and I think she actually finished hers. A Chatelaine will be Slot 3 in my 5 slot rotation next year :)

Hmm, I think you need to use the calendar feauture on here so we can keep up with your rotation ...would it make you stick to it?

Melissa Hicks said...

We have a calendar feature here?

Hmm - well 2007 is *planned* to be like this:

1st week of every month - TW's The Castle
Slot 1 - Dutch Beauty
Slot 2 - The Rainmaker
Slot 3 - Chatelaine
Slot 4 - Ink Circles
Slot 5 - something small - probably start by finishing off Catherine, Rhiannon etc.

The Castle will be worked on for one week Sun-Sat. The others will be worked for one page of each chart. However long it takes me. So I'm not sure a calendar feature will work. Wonder if I should change my intro to read which slot I will be working on - wonder if there's a way to do something like that?

I'll think on it overnight ...I'm sure the calendar would work for it though...have a play :) (like you have nothing better to do than be at my back and call LOL)

This is really looking good Mel :) What did you think of the basket? I just loved stitching it! I finished mine up in December of 2005. And it should cheer you that I think part 6 went pretty quickly as did the bead attachement. Seeing this really makes me want to pull out Midi II and work on it :) And excited for Midi III coming out soon!

This is really turning out amazing! I can't seem to do a rotation at all. I get in a rut on one thing and need to keep going on it until I burn out. The only good thing is that I stitch on Baltazar (The Castle) upstairs on my American Dreams Stand. When I am downstairs I can use my Visual Mate 2 to stitch on St. Georges. Oh I need to go take a picture of that since I have gotten much further than the first picture.

Quick question: Do you need to get PTP plus fabbie through a shop or can you order it with their Toll Free Number?

Wow, Mel, it's really looking good! Can't wait to see the next part!!

Thanks all - Nate I hope that I can do Part 5 next month and then Part 6 the month after and then possibly some of Mystery IX before Midi III starts in July. I hope desperately to have this finished before July, ready for framing. I'm attaching the beads as I go - so hopefully the next two parts wont be that big.

I wont bother to start Midi 2 as I know I wont get it finished before Midi 3 starts :)

Don;t know about a toll free number - but I order *all* of mine via email directly from their website. Great service - cannot praise Marilyn and Shari high enough!

Thanks all! I'm very happy with this - and now cannot remember why it was put down in the first place? its a great stitch!

Thanks Mel,

Next time I have 'free' money I will order 1/2 yard of Crystal Phoenix to do Ice Princess. First thing I am buying though is the kit for Rose and Butterfly quilt by Martina!

Crystal Phoenix is what I'm using as the base fabric for my Cirque !!! Wow that is *red* really really *red* !!!

Michele Anderson said...

Which is why I think the white dragon will just pop off the fabric!!

What about all the pinks in the Castle walls and the rocks ?

Sarah Huff said...

This is really beautiful. I love all the colors!

Michele Anderson said...

Humph, you really had to think of those colors didn't you?!!! Now I will have to get a small piece first to make sure the pinks etc with the backstitching, don't clash. Rats, I really love that fabbie. Well it is better to find out it won't work now before I buy the full 1/2 yard. I will order that this week when I get paid and let you all know how it goes!! Thanks for the good catch Mel!

Oooops sorry! {Mel hangs her head in shame}

Michele Anderson said...

LOL! And grateful ((((HUGS))) too! If your right about the pinks that red will look awful! I will order the smallest piece available on Saturday and then when it arrives do part of a castle wall and add the outline to see how it looks. I am so hoping the greys in the wall will mute the pinks so it doesn't clash. But I am doubtful the more I think about it. Well back to butterflies.

Luv and Hugs,
Chele

Claire EJ said...

I'm not sure it's a case of it clashing....they just might sort of sink away and not show very well....
A test would be very interesting and I'd like to see it if you do it.

Morning Claire,

I will definitely post a picture when I get it stitched. I didn't finish the last butterfly before American Idol came on. And somehow I am off by one thread somewhere. The wings of each butterfly line up across from each other and the last one if the one that is off. It doesn't matter to the design so I am leaving it. The actual klosters all line up for the cutting in the wing so it is good.

And I was a good girl and decided to "find" my voicemail about working today. Turns out they made me LEAD again anyway so I am the one in charge. Grrr! I hope since they are sending a team of 5 people that we won't be long. It will be a very COLD day though as we are doing the yogurt.

Everyone have a great day!

Looking good. How big will it be when finished?

Melissa Hicks said...

Umm that big - the border is done - just need to fill in the middle now ... I think that's a 17 inch hoop its in - I'll get out the project and measure it for you later ......
