One Giant Leap

Well I have an amazingly intense bout of sinusitis, and very cleverly left my pseudoephadrine tablets at work .... so I will make this brief and then run away before the last dose wears off.

I HANDED IN MY RESIGNATION TODAY  !!!!!

I finish at my current job COB Wednesday 11 July and start the new one the following Monday.

It felt soooo damn good to personally hand deliver that piece of paper to my cruddy boss this afternoon !!!!  So good !!!!!

And because I'm taking pseudoephadrine, I can't have any alcohol tonight to celebrate.  Oh well, dinner followed by sinus migraine and sleep it is :) :)

I suspect once that word gets out I will taken out to a number of dinners, lunches and coffees to celebrate over the next few weeks !!!!!

Hmm rum and Coke will do me - or even a really nice after dinner Brandy :) :)

I was thinking this morning, we have 8 branches at work and 4 branch librarians are out of commission! One is about to go onto maternity leave, one had a cycling accident and broke her hip, and now two of us have quit .....

Still feeling good and I think the sinusitis has broken, I don;t feel anywhere near as bad as I did this tie yesterday morning and I haven't got an pseudoephadrine in the past 17 hours - so I think I'm definitely on the mend!

In other news it has rained heavily all night and there is flooding again in the Hunter regions and we have a cyclone warning all up and down the coast for today and tomorrow. Supposed to hit here sometime tonight .....

Mel, glad to hear you're on the mend. Would love to have seen your boss' face when you gave him / her the letter!!

It was priceless - he simply could not believe that any organisation would want to employ me, let alone at such a senior level! He was speechless for a few moments! Then I dropped it in that I believe in the next financial year I'll be earning more than him! (Its rumoured on the grapevine that for the last few years he's taken a pay cut of $10,000 per year to keep his job).

I was mean enough to twist that on him and enjoy his utter speechlessness!

Anyway in other news, no my sinusitis is not getting better. The bacterial infection got so bad the sudafed stopped working. The doc gave me antibiotics today and sent me home for today and tomorrow. My head is killing me any time I move it - so only a little reading and *no* stitching - I can't bend my head down without screaming pain.

Will be better in a couple of days.

Sorry the sinus's are still playing rather nasty games with you - hopefully the antibiotics will work their magic sooner rather than later!

I'm soooooo glad that you had fun handing your resignation in! onwards and upwards young GothTigger!

Sorry to hear that your sinuses and the weather are still misbehaving... but oh so glad you had fun with your resignation at your boss's expense!! :)

That guy sounds like a real bastard, and a stupid one, at that. Twist away - he apparently has it coming; at the very least, I think you owe him a couple of twists, if for nothing else than the aggravation factor. What a weenie.

Hope the antibiotics get you upright again; I know that pain well, though it's been several years since I last had one bad enough to make my teeth hurt! Feel better!

Thaks all!!! Big hugs to you all !!!!
