Like others I received a card and floss from Teegs today. Lovely card and the floss is a skein of Crescent Colours Tangerine (or as I see it, Tigger Orange!)Also in this parcel I received a SIGNED COPY OF WHITE KNIGHT BY JIM BUTCHER !!!!!!!!

I have been hanging out for this book, its book nine and the latest in the Dresden Files series.
AND SHE GOT IT AUTOGRAPHED !!!!!! AND ITS ADDRESSED TO ME !!!!!! She got Jim to sign it for ME !!!!!!!
I've been dancing around all day !!! This is the most amazing gift !!!!!!
This is only the second ever autographed book I've ever received !!!!! And the first was a gift from the author herself after staying at my house over an SCA weekend.
OH WOW !! I am just sooo over the moon !!!!! No stitching for the rest of the week - I am reading by torchlight !!!!

I know we'd talked about using Goth Tigger and not Mel, but right up to the last minute, I was still waffling. He had an assistant writing the names we wanted on Post-it notes and I'd had her put both. When I got to him, and he opened that book, he looked up at me and sorta smiled a question...(and btw, the picture in the back of the books does the man NO justice!) I explained that for quite some time I only knew her as Goth-Tigger and hadn't quite connected to her as Mel. He laughed and said he understood completely, since he's done the SCA thing and has lots of email friends he only knows by the screen-name. He then smiled (and I'm telling ya, the man can melt you with a smile!) and said "don't think, just answer: what name would SHE appreciate more?" well, obviously I answered Goth-Tigger and the rest is history. LOL
Too funny....I most often think of Mel as Gothy.....it just fits....

Claire. There's not much you can do with it. When I mention you at work, I sometimes say my Brit pal, cause they wouldn't necessarily recognize the name. Well, there's also those other words.. witch, hag.. etc... but usually Claire. LOL

Claire bear is such an old one LOL....got named that when I used to change my hair style and colour almost every week...hair bear bunch...the cartoon?? LOL
Suppose we could call ya CJ. But, see, that just doesn't work for me cause that's one of Mom's "other daughter's" names. One I like, most of the time, but still find annoying on occasion.
Nobody calls me CJ....Julia calls me "tart" and I answer to it LOL....we've had varying degrees of "Tart" over the years. Her friend Sharon is Tart Major...I'm Tart Minor and Jules herself is just Tart ...very silly.....

Um, that would mean thinking back to 1990 and way before surgery.....I don't think I even remember LOL....probably what she called good friends at the time and it just stuck ever after
