Show us yer Stash

Ok here's my desk. All the new stuff goes here until it is put in the spreadsheet and put away. Items of note are the ornament from Paula last year on the wall above, the box from Karen and Annette's fold out on top of the sub-woofer on the extreme left of the picture. Latest issuef of JCS with Tanglewood chart front and centre, Brittercup designs from Claire on extreme right side of the picture on top of my scanner, Karen's box of floss next to the talking books ... etc etc....

Well I asked everyone on the BAPXS list to do this - so I thought I'd better show mine. As there were lots of "I need to clean up before I can take pictures" replies, I thought why not show mine in all its disorganised glory !!!!

Yes people it *is* a mess you have been warned!

Jealous muchly of the wonderful balcony and view - this is where your local wildlife (parrots and cockatoos) come to visit, isn't it? I would be out there all the time - it's got to be pretty hot for me to not like it :) We have a deck, but it's just not a place we spend a lot of time; good for cooking on the grill, then going back in.

Wonderful organization there; gee, you wouldn't be a librarian by any chance, wouldja? :)

Love that rug! Is that a Trubs I see int he corner??? Mine were all mysteriously absent as I was taking mine last night...

I was gonna take a picture of my desk, but there's some stuff on it that's top-secret :) The corner of my printer I think was visible behind my stitching seat, and the monitor might've been in the beads shot - all my stuff is in a 15' area.

Got the opposite problem - we're just coming out of winter here - too cold or wet to properly handle a needle :)

What you mean you think those are in some kind of order? Not just chucked willy nilly into the first box the right size I saw ????

Yup that's her back and tail in the bottom right corner of the pic - she decided to walk the length of the lounge I was using as a tripod to focus the pic. This is the ONLY shot I took that doesn't have a cat tail right down themiiddle of the pic!

well there's top secret stuff here too - but its soo cluttered no-one but me would ever find it in the picture :)

very sweet - but what have they got to do with your stash!

Claire gave me this chart for my birthday: http://www.brittercupdesigns.com/featherfriends.html and *they* visit my feeder station on a regular basis too????? Is that a good enough link?

Otherwise I'll remove the pic to preserve the sanctity of the album ....

Musical accompaniment for stitching?

I love their colors!

Even chucked in willy nilly - that's a great lovely bookcase full of cross stitch stuff - would be paradise for any stitcher to go through!!

I'll be doing my rounds right in a moment - as soon as I've read last night's e-mails. And when you'll see the pic of my desk you won't think anymore it's clean enough to put anyone's to shame, bwa ha ha.

Love seeing all those photos. Not only for the stash - also for a quick view into the homes of you guys. Makes me more familiar with all of you!

They're wonderful, Mel! Compared to our dull sparrows and crows :-) The really lovely birds in this area here are very hard to spot, they're usually too small to see. Except for the wagtails, they're fairly bold.

Good enough link for me :-)

ROFL with the top secret stuffs you guys.....too funny.

If you took a look around my place, you'd never ever spot the secret stuffs...they could be anywhere in this pit and none but me would see them

Can't you tell from the gimlet gleam in their eyes???

They're waiting to pounce on the good stuff inside!

Love the sewing box....and how cute to see the other box LOL. Will have to try and find you another box this year...do I feel a tradition coming on?

I want an elegant bedroom like this when I grow up.

Love how the cats always have to be involved in the stash pics.

Been reading a blog recently where every item is draped around the cats....imagine all that extra specialty floss!!! Eep!

Is that the back of a Trub I can see?

Oh cool..and I'm like Nancy...I get excited when the Cardinal's come to visit our feeders. What lovely birds. Think I might have to move there just for the "better birds at the feeder" phenom. =)

I WANT!!!

I actually would like a pet lorikeet but I don't have the money.

Your house is already clean! I'm talking like cleaning up timothy hay and fur from five house rabbits!

Melissa Hicks said...

I'll show you a pic of the other side of the room at some point - built in floor to ceiling bookcase!

Melissa Hicks said...

Well my mum is visiting so yeah the carpet is vacuumed .....

I'm pretty lucky where I live - I don't like caging birds so here I get the best of both worlds - they are wild but they still visit me - as long as I have the right food out :)

I like the pics of your deck and birds too!! Bunch of stash you have there girl.

Donna Williams said...

oh wow... Vick wanted one of those so bad! I remember when a member on another list posted pictures of all the cockatoos on her deck, he was so jealous. Mom's neighbor feed tiny yellow finches and Mom gets hummers, but that's about it for colourful birds around here.

You and me both! That's part of why I'm thinking of selling the house and either buying or renting a condo. So many more options. Cinder block houses do not lend themselves to remodeling easily.

Even though I'm not really an outside girl, I'd be living on that balcony as much as possible! Our old house out in the country had a wrap around porch and we spent more time out there than in, just watching the weather.
