WIP - Britty Kitty

1 Feb 2008

Friday. What happens when you don't want to stitch on the piece you brought with you and you have a small kit arrive in the mail and you have no scissors .....

In a recent bout of stashing I bought the kitted up version of the Britty Kitty design Basking in the Sun.

I'm guessing these stitch up reasonably quickly (as this was your travel project!) - and am I right in thinking there is no backstitching on these?

You know, I actually love the fluffy back...reminds me of a little kitten just rolling in yarn or thread...all odd ends sticking out everywhere...[or Buzz after a session with the crocogator!]

This is cute. I'll be starting A Brittcup kitty soon for a quilt square.

Hilary, Correct correct and correct :)

Karen, its freebie called Basking in the Sun which some shop sold a kit for it .... I picked it up with my Christmas stashing and it happened to still be in my bag Friday afternoon when I wanted something different to work on.

Your wish is my command - I'll leave it like this, frame it and send it to you :)

Cool...I already have a spot picked out for it.

I love this one. I stitched it up about a year ago I guess. It was one of those "I need to finish something or go stark raving loony" pieces. Will you show us the FRONT of it when you get it finished? (cheeky grin)

But Sisu - didn't you read - I'm not going to finish this - I'm going to frame it as is and give it to Claire :)

And weirdly Sisu, I think it's adorable as it is. Like I said earlier I have a spot all picked out .

Well, it is sort of cute like it is. Looks like a kitty ambushed a BFG gang member and was left with nothing of the intruder but a few claws full of their calling card.

LOL I love the Britty designs, and hadn't really thought of the image until Claire mentioned the resemblence!
