Waaaaaaahhhhh !!!!! HUGE TOADS !!!!!

It wasn't a frog visit - it was Tiddilick !!!!!

I was working on the green vine work on the border of Dogwood Square and I got one and a half sides done before I realised that I made a mistake waaaaay back at the beginning - less than a centimetre from the start of the border .....

I've spent over an hour unpicking and I've unpicked half of it.

I'm sooo tempted to throw it in the corner and start a new project !!!!!! Thirteen hours work down the drain !!!!!!!

Mel, I'm so sorry about your visit. But just think, you've done it once, so maybe the second time will be easier. Maybe?!? Good luck on your restart, and if you have to throw it into the corner and work on something small to get a finish before you go back to it, then it's all good!

Huge hugs Mel! don't give up on it - it will be wonderful when it is completed!

Oh Mel, that sounds like a ginormous toad! Should I send Minou the toad specialist over? Or rather not, he'd just drop them on your best rug or carpet...

Picking up another project (only AFTER you unstitched though!) sounds like a good idea. Mustn't necessarily be a new one :-)

I put the first stitches into your project - I envisage a lot of green in the next few hours of stitching :-)

Erm honey, you do live in a country where Cane Toads are prevalent...sigh.
Steve would love to own a cane toad...you know the address.....

Here's hoping today's stitching is toadless.

Sorry Tiddilick decided to stop by - if that eel shows up, you might want to put your project in a plastic bag, to keep it dry :)

Finish frogging, then put it up for awhile; that's what I had to do with St. G and that last corner that kept threatening to send me over the edge - I didn't dare work on it for more than an hour at a time, or I would've lobbed it out the front door, or worse, into the fireplace....

Mel, you and I are good company then, I had to frog all of the first part of Part 10 of MIX. Have now restitched it correctly, but have decided to do the framework on the other 3 sides, then just go back and fill in. Hope the toads have now gone!!

Oh Mel! Time for another shipment of Frog-B-Gone? So sorry to hear you are being plagued.

I'm too far south for cane toads - so far ..... they are afterall on the move {sigh}

Its my own fault Tracy - I didn't check it after the first couple of rows. I checked it horizontally, but not vertically if you know what I mean. The vine work in the border was correct in and of itself - it was just one row to the right after the first centimetre ......

But the good news is I stitched like a demon for the rest of the afternoon and last night and I'm back exactly where I was when I found the mistake yesterday morning ......

Thanks everyone for your comments - I'll try and get the rest of the border vine work done before the Sunday update pic tomorrow and then I think I will put this one away for a little while - I have stitched on it three weeks straight .....

Oh no Debbie !!!!!

The entire thing ???? Why ?????

Many many hugs of commiserations and I think *you* need the frog be gone more than me !!!!

I am so happy to hear that you were able to stick with it, frog the mistake and restitch it!! That is a lot for fortitude than I often have ;) I just know the end result will be worth it!!

Oh, Mel!! Hate when those big toads come out!! I'm happy to hear you made it back to the original spot. That way you won't have to feel like you're having deja vu the next time you pull it out. Good luck with the next project!!

Sorry about the toads, Mel - but I think you successfully booted them here, I've had quite the session this week myself!

Melissa Hicks said...

so I see Paula - you made fantastic progress this past week !!! Well done you !!!!!!

Ahh - but you didn't see the bit where I spent half of a shift at 911 frogging what I'd done the shift BEFORE on Noah's Sub! But the frogs seem to be banished again {knocks on wooden desk}

The walrus ate them :)

Claire EJ said...

There's a Walrus?? Carpenter too??

Karen R said...

Well, it is Noah's sub, after all - at least two of everything :)
