"gorgeous Growth Rings by Ink Circles"

Hmm - catching up on the Violarium blog today I noticed this snippet:

"March/April issue of Just Cross Stitch arrived today! " .... "Then there is a cute St. Patrick's Day design by Prairie Moon, gorgeous Growth Rings by Ink Circles and a cute bunny and lots more!"

Have I been asleep again or has our favorite designer been characteristically humble about a new design ....

Hmmm - when its cool enough to go outside, I'd better go and try and track down a copy of said magazine .........

Does anyone know of a picture online somewhere? We get magazines so many months behind I'll have forgotten about it before it ever arrives here.

Ditto! I had hoped MagNation (a store that airmails in magazines) would stock it but it only stocks the UK cross stitch mags.

Picture please someone .... anyone ......

Thanks for noticing it! If it's any consolation, I haven't seen the magazine yet either :o). I saw the model of course, when I sent it in, but they did the finishing work, so I am burning with curiousity. I've asked them for a photo I can put on my site to cross-promote. Then we'll all be able to see it.

I frequently put a "sneak peek" in my blog of the designs I self-publish before they are on the shelf, but I'm not at liberty to do that with the magazine pieces. Do you have any idea how long we (Kathy, the model stitcher, and I) have been biting our poor tongues? Ha ha.

Well what abut a hint perhaps of what other magazines pieces are coming up? ie "you might want to check out issue X of Y publication" ..... You know we don't want to lose these :) :)

So what is this one about? Is it a tree? Is it anything like Tanglewood? Is it another in the Celtic Quilts series? Am I completely off base?

Yes I am part cat and the curiosity is killing me :) :)

Hey- just found out: it's not a pic of the final piece, but there is a shot on Vikki Claytons HDF forum that Kathy posted once she knew the cat was out of the bag. I think just the first round of subscribers have their copies, so other people were curious too.

And I just happen to have those colors in the stash :) Unless I'm using them for Samplar 4 Saisons....? Oh, well, a few more skeins won't hurt :)

Its beautiful and the colour combination is great. Now where can I get my hands on a copy in the UK?

I just found out my local and small chain grocery store actually stocks 3, yes 3 cross stitch magazines. I will have to see when this one arrives. I was just there on Sunday and this issue wasn't out yet. If someone wants one and I can get them, just contact me!

This is a stunning design! I was such a happy camper when I went to the mailbox today. I think a little trip to Vikki's site is in order - I love the colors used in the model.

My magazine came today and I was on the phone ordering the kit from JCS within mere minutes. Of course, they don't have all the parts, so it will ship when they arrive.
