Thank you. Even though I did not vote for President Obama I am looking forward to see how well he helps to guide us through the tough time

You have to give us Yanks some credit. We do transfers of power with proper pomp and circumstance and without riots (protests maybe but no riots). After 8 years of narrow ideology, I'm ready for some pragmatism.

I was impressed the school had the kids watch it. Erik (kindergarten) came home with a note pinned to his shirt saying he got to watch it - I asked how it was. His response: "The B-Rock man didn't do anything. What's a president?"

I decline to comment.

I had it playing all day in the background while they worked on other things. They were very interested in everything that happened and we had a lot of good discussions about the role of the President and his cabinet.

That's what I was trying to say - regardless of whether you voted for Bazza - you guys *do* the handover quite well.

Here we don't have riots, we don't even protest except staring morosely into our beers - but we also don't have the pomp and circumstance either. I think you guys did it well.

And I'm glad that, it isn't the 1960s and the guy didn't get assassinated before taking up the reins of power (like so many people warned). At least now we will get a chance to see if he puts his money where his mouth is, so to speak.

I'll bet there were 25,000 sharpshooters stationed on buildings and high spots all around, in case of trouble. Fortunately, there was none, though I did read of one real high IQ sort who posted on a website devoted to extraterrestial sightings (it's getting interesting already) that he would shoot Obama if someone got him a gun and a bus ticket to DC. Naturally, Einstein here found himself under arrest rather quickly.
