Mel's Easter Update

Morning all,

Welcome to Easter Monday.  Had a fantastic few days visiting mum.  Did some Spring Cleaning (well its Spring somewhere in the world) and did some librarian type work with mum's books (she should be able to find most of them now ...maybe).

We also planted the two roses I gave mum as Easter presents and we've stitched.  And stitched.  And stitched.

I started worked on and completed Stellar the newest colourscape from Patti at Moonflower designs.  I also did little scattered bits on Singularity by FireWing Designs and FireFlower by Needlemania designs but not enough to take pictures.

I also received a gift from mum.  She finished the little cat piece she was working on and presented it to me.

Have about another 20 hours here before heading home, so more relaxation today.  I'm loving this !!!!!

Well with all the 400+ books you cataloged and we rearranged on the shelving , you still had time to stitch a lovely piece.

Thanks all - now I'm back to the realities of life :) Job apps to write today. The plumber arrives at 10:00am and the dentist is scheduled for 3:30pm :) :)

What can I say, the job apps have not yet been written, the plumber didn't arrive at all and the Dentist overcharged me to the doghouse.

Better day today! I'm setting aside all day to stitch and wait for the plumber - after a quick run out this morning for the mail, and a touch of shopping.

I hope you make good stitching progress! And of course, waiting for the plumber is a perfectly good reason that you HAVE to stay home and stitch! :) Sorry to hear about the dentist bill, though.

I'm looking for another dentist :) Have optometrist visit lined up for today and plumber is replacing my hot water system today. One of the benefits of renting - at least that cost isn't coming out of my pocket.

Got some stitching done, not as much as I wanted - Trubby and I fell asleep on the lounge at 8pm. Got up and went to bed at 10:30pm. Party animals !!! Off to stitch now. The missing gold thread for mum's gift arrived yesterday and I've *got* to get it to the framers ASAP if I want it back in time for Mother's Day .......

LOL You and Trubby sound about like Miss Molly and I last night. Tried watching a baseball game and stitching; ended up asleep on the couch by about 8:30 (with my Mets losing); woke up at 10:30 to see the post game interviews and discover that they won without me! :)

Oh well at least they won - that's the main thing {LOL}

Its always nice to sleep with some other living thing. I sleep better if *someone* is sleeping with me, whether it be cat, man or chihuahua ..... strange I know.

Not really so strange at all. I've had one night since we got Molly almost 8 years ago that I was home totally alone (no J and no Molly). I didn't sleep well at ALL. I sleep best when they're both there, but I do ok when J works nights as long as Molly takes up her spot on the bed.
