Two in two days !!!!!

I received a second RAK from Claire the day after her first RAK arrived !!! Am I spoilt or what ????

In this RAK I received:

* the chart "Thriller" by Sampler Cove

* a lovely little hi-lighter on a lanyard to wear around my neck

* a lovely little diary

* and a Flamingo puppet !!!!

Do you know how difficult it is to take pictures with one hand while holding the puppet with the other hand ????

I think Trub is really trying to give me a message here - wonder what information she is trying to convey with that expression ???? Pics in my RAK album.

So Claire and Hilary - feel yet another SAL coming on ???? How on earth do we fit Thriller into the rotation?

Yes after snickering at Karen this morning and then chatting with Paula I've decided next week to go back to a rotation.... see how long it lasts this time :)

That is a very unique chart! Very cool!!

I love that chart - it's been on the Wish List since it came out! I don't know, but I'm thinking Trubs is going to give that flamingo a good swat when you're not looking...

What a sweetie our Claire is! That is a perfect chart for you, and I can see you becoming very skilled at dancing the Flamingo Flamenco.

I've been playing with my new dancing flamingo - Trub has gotten completely disgusted with me and headed off to bed!

You are right Tracy - I *adore* this chart and can't wait to kit it up and get on with it. I'm waiting on better light so I can send you pics too and get on with part 2 of your secret project !!!

Karen - you'll need to finish something over the next couple of months and SAL this with us !!!!!

I have the perfect place already picked out to hang this piece once its finished and framed - right above the head of my bed! I need to take pics of my bedroom and you'll see how perfect it will be!

Thriller is wonderful - and I love the puppet. But Trub seems to be saying "Can you believe the silly human? so enthralled with a pink bit of foolishness when she could be paying attention to ME???" lol

Gee, I wonder why no one wants to SAL with me on Lady & Unicorn...? Except that crazy Tasha, who's doing the BIG one :)

Thriller's going to have to wait for me - I'm negotiating a long-term model stitch at the moment, so the more I can finsh/near completion between now and June, the better off I'll be. Or that's my plan so far, anyway...

One of the things I love about my cat, she can convey so much expression .......

Oooh good luck with it Karen - will we be able to see WIP pics of this model stitch?

Hmmm, not really a RAK!! Thriller was a promise made earlier in the year, The diary was something I forgot to send at Christmas, and the pen, a cut thang from a magazine.

The Flamingo..serves ya right for teasing me so much [evil grin]....

And the q-snaps...a necessity!

Hey a present is a present is a present !!!!!!!!!

Don't know yet - I'll have to hammer out the details when she's closer to sending it to me, June-ish. It's one of the portraits of Queen Elizabeth I that I begged everyone to chart for me. Since she's giving me "years" to do it in, I would expect progress pics will be a necessity...

Ooooh which one? Peacock? Armada? Fairy Queen? Which portrait?

Karen R said...

It is the Rainbow Portrait. http://www.tudor-portraits.com/Elizabeth14.jpg This is one of the 4 that I really wanted to do; the others were the Ermine, the Armada, and the Phoenix. The Coronation Portrait was also mentioned, but I like these others much more.

Ooooh yum good choice !!!!! I also like this one from the same time period ... http://www.tudor-portraits.com/Elizabeth13.jpg

And of course this is my all time favourite portrait of her: http://www.tudor-portraits.com/Elizabeth5.jpg

I agree with you Mel - that's my favorite, but I also like the Rainbow Portrait. I hope you're able to share pics with us, Karen!

And the cool thing is, it's going to have real pearls on it as embellishment! I'm not sure how or where - I can't wait to see what she has in store!

Eep...the first of those two has terrible eyes...
The second with her as a young woman, you can almost feel her innocence slipping away there.
