It's after 11pm at night 2nd Jan. I'm off home first thing tomorrow morning. I'm all packed and ready to go - even if I'm not quite sure I want the holiday to end yet ...Had a fabulous visit - saw a few great movies, got *some* stitching done, did *some* shopping and lots of stitching - even though it was not as much stitching as either of us wanted - but isn't that always the way when two stitchers get together :) :) :) :) :)
Will be back to normal tomorrow night {sigh}
Pic above and here is how much I got done on Spotted Butterfly. I was hoping to get it finished, but twas not to be. Maybe before I get back to work?

That looks great Mel! My DS who is three saw it and likes it too :) He pointed to the computer screen and said "OHHHH Shiney Buggy!!" So thumbs up from over here!
Yeah, I'm back to work today - coulda used a couple more days off, though I am tired of being badgered into playing D&D. Can't wait until they go back to school next Tuesday. Spot looks fabulous - you're almost done! :)
Great stitching! And it sounds like a lovely visit. I'm back in the office today, along with everyone else who took days off. So, of course it's busier than busy lol. You've still got a couple of days before you return to work, right?

Yup! As the Uni closes from Christmas until New Years I was able to save a few holiday days and take them after New Years Day - so I'm off work until next Tuesday.
Tueday is D day :)
As for today - its after lunch and I'm home, mostly unpacked and am about to sit and stitch in front of the cricket.
Thanks Mariann and everyone - I pulled the exact floss and fabric for this one and loved it so much I had to use the original combination*and* start it immediately !!!!!!

Listen: after ten years of not working on the wretched thing, last year's progress is damn wonderful for me so I don't anticipate picking it up again for a little while. It won't be another ten years, but not for a couple of months as yet.
