Socks and Chocolate

WOW !!!!

Received a parcel from Tracy today - it was in the exact same box I sent her - so I panicked for a microsecond thinking the box had been returned undelivered !!

Inside is a gorgeous pair of hand knitted socks !!!!

Some Carrie's threads limited edition - hmmm those two skeins of blue might have to be used on a certain mystery project coming up ???

And two containers of chocolates.  The almond and milk bar may not actually make it home.

I will photograph the rest when I get home tonight.

EDITED TO INCLUDE PICS HERE.

The box said "please recycle," so I was just following orders. :-D Glad things made it there safely, although the chocolate didn't exactly make it to a "safe" destination. Enjoy!

but Tracy took away one of the surprises I had planned for you for this year :-((

Wow, can't wait to see :) I've had boxes recycled before, too - it is a little unsettling at first glance, isn't it???

Which is exactly what I did with the birthday box...used it for Mel at Xmas:)

Very nice too! I hope the chocolate was tasty!

Oh how cool!

Very cool box! Mariann - couldn't you do your surprise anyway? It wouldn't be exactly the same - and it would be from you, so it would definitely be special!

I'll volunteer to take Mariann's surprise!

Yay Mel, lucky girl with all those presents. Don't blame you with the chocolate - any bar with roasted almonds in never last long with me either!

Mariann Mäder said...

Yup, I can... but will probably not be the same surprise anymore, LOL...

(whistles and files away some information...)

What can be safer than my tummy ????

Well Tracy does have very good taste in chocolates, but they aren't quite up to Swiss standards so I think you are safe to surprise me with more of them :) :)

Oh you meant the socks ????? There's no law saying that a person cannot have more than one pair of socks. Or shawls or gloves or scarves or anything knitted ....

Actually right at the moment I'm very glad to have visceral reminders to hold on to of such friendships I have made over the past few years.

I'll get over myself and stop moping shortly I hope.

Mariann Mäder said...

You have every right to mope for a while... a broken relationship takes time to be driven out of the system :-D

The socks look fabulous!

Paula Hubert said...

I love the colors in those socks! And moping is perfectly normal for a breakup, not to worry!

The socks look great (and is that a Trub getting in the picture again?!)

Melissa Hicks said...

Yup - I had to dump her on the floor three times to get a pic of the presents and even then she manages to sneak into the background of one pic !!!!
