Lust List - Charts A-E

Dark Side of the Moon Designs
http://www.darksideofthemoon.com.au/

OK after 750 pictures in one album I finally broke Multiply. Lust List Charts are now spread over multiple albums :)

Note: Please do not ask me to send charts to you electronically; I respect and adhere to copyright laws, and in so doing, to send you an electronically reproduced chart would put me and you in violation of those laws.

This one I love! The pillow/cushion is lovely and I like *bad cat* LOL

Karen R said...

I might need to add this one, too - looks like it might be a little quicker than some of my other dragons.

Claire EJ said...

if I had a lust list, al the Debbie Draper cute cats would be on it. They are such fun.

Melissa Hicks said...

I originally didn't like them ..... but they grew on me! Same as the Dinky Dye cats .......

Claire EJ said...

Love the eyes on this one.....Too cute. Remember who it's by?? is this one where you lost the details?

Melissa Hicks said...

Found that one - its from A Mon Ami Pierre. http://www.amonamipierre.net/amapshop/achat/produit_details.php?id=93

Lothario - the little black homeless cat that visits me - he is like that. All black with deep orange eyes ....

I imagine the "AMAP" initials on the piece gave the game away :) I had no clue what they stood for but will remember from now on :)
Thanks, honey.

If I had a black cat like that visit me, he'd have a home immediately...black with glowing orange eyes....slluuurrrp!

The landlady hates him - she hates all animals - so I have to feed him when she's not around. If she lived further away he would already be here permanently.

Melissa Hicks said...

Uh nope. Completely missed those :) Just did a Google search :)

Claire EJ said...

Oh good grief...aren't I the one who always tells people to Google stuff?? like duh, didn't think to do it myself LOL.

Melissa Hicks said...

Well it helped that I knew it was a European country and probably French. I knew the three designs before it and the two designs after it were also from the same company. So I did a search using all of those elements.

Michele Anderson said...

Yep this guy is the same as my freebie downstairs!!

Chele

Melissa Hicks said...

Sorry Chele - if you look closely this little guy is much more detailed with more changes of colours than the freebie ....

Tracy H said...

Hey, it looks like they were looking at the same page of the Book of Kells as I did.

Tracy H said...

Ooh, I might need this one too. I have two companion pieces each with three othere ladybug species. I started one and it is in the pre-Ink Circles WIP pile.

Melissa Hicks said...

Hmmm - that blue neck with the red running around it does look a tad similar to the new model Rosann is working on ....... am I warm?

Terri England said...

I have this one and hoping to stitch it soon. Do you have this one?

Melissa Hicks said...

Nope. Terri this is the list of items I *don't* have and really want :) As I acquire them, they are removed from this list.

Is the cat just as cute in the real chart?

Terri England said...

cuter okay will stitch it up and then mail you the chart.

Melissa Hicks said...

how sweet - thank you !!!!

Terri England said...

You are most welcome

Mariann Mäder said...

I'm so glad your taste doesn't correspond to mine when it comes to charts :-D so I'm not tempted by this one, even though I like how it looks.

Mel Smith said...

Hiya
I just received this from SB&B. I will be more than happy to pass it on to you once i've stitched it.

Melissa Hicks said...

Kewl - thank you Mel. I have the blue and the red in my stash - just haven't kitted them up yet .....

Claire EJ said...

Hmmm....I love, love, the border, hate the words and the figures, I can't decide whether or not I like them...

Claire EJ said...

Love it.

Claire EJ said...

"3 Pounces" too cute. I love these silly ones:) especially the rear end LOL

Claire EJ said...

Should be called "Have Kitten, Will Travel"...Love it.

Claire EJ said...

Very sweet. Can see this one on silk gauze.

Claire EJ said...

Absolutely love this one. DoTH are great and this is a fab interpretation.

Melissa Hicks said...

Oh I would definitely be changing the words !!! I cannot stand line dancing :) :)

However in the SCA we did a dance called the Bear Dance, which is a version of the Bus stop - very non-medieval !!! But lots of fun. I thought I might put that reference in there instead, or simply remove the wording altogether!

Karen R said...

This reminds me of Mariann's Blues project...

kay jones said...

No longer lustable

Mariann Mäder said...

Good choice, Kay! I love this one - reminds me of my finished Cattitude with the kitty walking on the piano keys...

Melissa Hicks said...

Awww - thank you Kay !!!

Seana Rain said...

Stunning!

Claire EJ said...

Love this one.
They make such a great series.

Claire EJ said...

Very cute...Would hate to be the bowl they are thinking of diving into..

Claire EJ said...

Love this one too.

Claire EJ said...

Chilly Kitty is very sweet but I bet the border and snow background would drive me insane.

Melissa Hicks said...

The borders are a pain to do - especially the backstitching around them afterwards - but they are soooo cute!

kay jones said...

If you are ever desperate for this one you can have my copy. Dont think I could stitch it twice

Melissa Hicks said...

I was hoping if/when Elizabeth ever lets me modelstitch the design for her that we agreed upon, I would give the modelstitch money right back to her to buy these charts :)

Kerry Dustin said...

I love this one too. The look on his face is gorgeous.

Kerry Dustin said...

I think this is amazing, but I don't think I would ever stitch it.

Kerry Dustin said...

Ditto on what Claire said.

Melissa Hicks said...

I love it !!! Definitely will be purchasing and stitching this one up at some point :)

Melissa Hicks said...

Hmmm - what should I do for designs where I can't find any pictures?

I've just discovered that Camelot Designs (an out of print designer that I adore) had more designs than I previously knew of!

These designs are:
Borderlands Series:
* Atlantis
* Rainy Day Castle
* Castle in the Wildwoods

Storytime series:
* The Gingerbread House
* The Shoe
* The Emerald City of Oz

Any suggestions?

The Love Cats are a must have : )

Milly Dunaway said...

Need Lucky Cat for mom whose birthday is March 17th.

Melissa Hicks said...

What I love about these is that they are not tied to specific months. So for example, I could stitch the January one in June or July and it will be perfect for us Southern Hemispherers:)

Sisu Lull said...

I like it! Mesmerizing.

Mariann Mäder said...

Would you really want to stitch that???? I could imagine that becomes pretty boring!

Sisu Lull said...

Yeah, but the color bands within the lines are only one stitch wide, so at least you wouldn't be in the same spot forever.

Melissa Hicks said...

Actually I thought it would quite a soothing stitch. Again, its a new one in an existing series and I like all of the previous designs.

Laura Landis said...

I love this one! Of course, it's purple so that kind of figures, doesn't it?

Laura Landis said...

these little pillows are so cute! My high school mascot was the griffin so this one would be really fun for me with a few color changes!

Mariann Mäder said...

Good old Johann Wolfgang - what a great mind he was. Did you ever read Werther? Don't know the title in English, but it's a great book (Die Leiden des jungen Werther) - probably the book that describes the Age of Enlightenment in Germany, which was also called the time of "Sturm und Drang" (Storm and Stress). This quote fits in perfectly with those thoughts.

Goethe is still very modern - IIRC the saying that we haven't received earth from our ancestors but borrowed it from our offspring is by him as well.

Julie Dollery said...

Hmmm zombie cat...braaaiiinnsss

Claire EJ said...

Cute anteater!

Claire EJ said...

Love the words...hate the thought of stitching so many though.

Claire EJ said...

This was one of the books I had to read for "A level" German....reading it in the original language is very different to the English translation.
Made much more sense.

Claire EJ said...

Maybe this one explains why I so often turn my flipping ankles that one is permanently swollen now..hmmph.

Claire EJ said...

Love the colours, loath the design...that's me a contradiction in so many ways.

Claire EJ said...

This would make an incredible fabric book..but, I would not have the patience to stitch the individual parts without getting bored and stalling out.
The first section is fabulous though.

Claire EJ said...

Yawns....black on black...did you want to "see" for the rest of your life??

Sisu Lull said...

I would like it better without the cat, but still a neat design.

Sisu Lull said...

Beautiful. I like a lot of her stuff. So glad Tracy started carrying it this side of the pond.

Trish Froggatt said...

Oh wow!! I love this!!

Trish Froggatt said...

Strange looking animal - is that a fish in it's mouth?

Trish Froggatt said...

This guy looks like he's getting ready to go snorkeling .....

Rosanne Derrett said...

D'you know, I saw this and my immediate thought was that you would love this!

Rosanne Derrett said...

I really like this too. Will not be too difficult either.

Jodie Hill said...

Emily left drool marks on my monitor over this one, so I guess it goes on her list of things for Mom to stitch... I do like the colors in it though, so that is a plus!

Tina Starke said...

a poodle???

Melissa Hicks said...

Most of the AAN charts are just DMC on fabric of choice, so this wouldn't be expensive to kit.

It really is my favourite design of the Show :)

Melissa Hicks said...

LOL! Maybe I should add some blood around its muzzle ???

Melissa Hicks said...

It would be a struggle - but worth it I think :)

Melissa Hicks said...

Never studied Goethe. Went to a Catholic school for my later high school years and German philosophers weren't on the menu. In fact philosophy itself was completely missing from the curriculum. A gap in my education that I might have to remedy soon.

Melissa Hicks said...

{grin} I love this one as it turns from the usually sappy to vicious :) :)

Melissa Hicks said...

Quote from the website: Artifacts from the first century and before, portray the poodle, groomed in a manner resembling a lion, working alongside their masters, hunting, herding and retrieving game from the water. Artifacts such as this have been found around the Mediterranean and throughout Europe. Over the centuries, the Poodle has remained essentially the same animal that it was in ancient times.

So there - a poodle! Though I have no flipping idea what its carrying in its mouth :)

Melissa Hicks said...

Definitely on my - to acquire when funds available list! I think its the perfect into to canvaswork for me. Mind you, I do like ALL of the Glitz and Glamour range .... very modern art :) So doing this one might just be opening Pandora's Box ....on
