Froggies !!!!!!

Ever stitched the same line of stitching four times and each time it wont line up and then you realise that the line you are comparing it against is the one with the mistake ????

Anyway its after midnight but I've finally finished the outline for this piece - having stitched the equivalent of the whole thing at least twice :)

Now just to fill in the middle - no thinking required and then attach the charm and we are finished.

The froggies didn't worry me - cause I still have broadband !!! YAYYYY !!!!!

LOL I remember when we got broadband, Mel.. I floated around just like you! :) Congrats on getting the outline done on this one. Isn't it amazing how the small ones sometimes feel like the biggest BAP you've ever done?

You did well, my minion, to continue as you have!

Thank you Mistress!!!!

We wont mention the fact that I'm supposed to be stitching on Dutch Beauty this week !!!!

I was just determined that this one wont beat me again !!!! And as I plan on doing *all* of Patty's Colourscapes, I;d better get a wriggle on and get *one* of them finished!

I hope I can put the next one down after starting it next Monday - I have other WIPs and new stash that are grumbling loudly ....

No, I don't think I managed quite that many times, LOL!

Anita calls the filling stitching "idiot stitching" - I love to do that sometimes, because it usually goes fast...

Well done on the correcting of the outline...

Well last night was supposed to be a girls night out. One of the girls at work left and is now working in Sydney and is much much happier with her new job. I was tired from a long week, but I came home, made a couple of calls and then pushed myself to head out. as a result I got to the club on my own. And I was stopped at the door. I now live within five kilometres of said club, I must be a member or get a member to sign me in. No worries, my friends are in there, I'll find one that's a member and get one of them to sign me in.

No.
* I could not enter the club to find my friends.
* I could not page them unless I knew one that was a registered member and was actually inside the premises. How am I going to know who has and has not arrived before me? And I don;t know which ones are registered members anyway.
* I could not sign up as a member - the membership office is closed.

I didn;t have my mobile with me so I couldn't even ring the one person who's number I did have to come out of the club and get me. And in the 10 minutes I was standing there arguing with the staff, no-one I knew walked past me.

So furious and almost to the point of tears with humiliation I came home. I rag A's mobile and it was switched off. So I felt sorry for myself for a while, rang Paul and mum and whinged until I felt better :) And then sat and stitched the idiot stitching and watched some of the Sci-fi channel mum had taped for me before crashing out ont he lounge at 10pm.

Big party girl I am! But I got one third of the Gothic stitched !!! And it looks good!

None of your friends thought to come out and look for you?? Unfair.
big big hugs for a horrible evening.

It wasn't like that - it was a work do - so we didn't know who was turning up or when - its a really casual thing and most of them thought I'd blown off the evening and just gone home instead.

I've done that too Mel. LOL, it's even worse when you figure out that the mistake you made is fifteen or so rows ago, lol. I love the way it is coming along. The fabric is gorgeous! Did you dye it yourself, or did you buy it?

Sorry this one was such a PITA, Mel! It's going to be great, though!!

Melissa Hicks said...

Yup it will be when I get time to sit and stitch and finish it - I thought it would be finished by now but I haven't picked up a needle all weekend - and now its Monday morning - work time {sigh}

Sorry to hear about your Friday night plans.. how annoying!! But VERY well done on perservering to get the outline right on this one - I think I'd have totally lost patience and tossed it aside... and not worked on it for ages again!
