More Fire Flower

Well after the freezer incident and consequential freezer issues I lost a couple of nights stitching, but I'm back at it tonight and here's the next update. I've now finished the main central motif - and yes I'm happier with the thread colour now that I've done more :)

Pics in FF album Teegs.

Loving the thread colour, honestly....I'd tell you if I didn't....
It almost looks like a mini quilt motif....very pretty!

Yup it certainly is *bright* :) I'll start on the branches today after getting the house ready for inspection this afternoon.

It looks good Mel, the colour combination does look better now that you have done more of the project

Great progress! I'm planning on spending this evening and tomorrow with mine (barring any plans J has made for this evening and any ambulance calls tomorrow...)

Thanks guys - I started the side branches last night but I'll leave update pics for tomorrow. I wont get any stitching done on it today - apparently P is meeting me after work, but he always sleeps in on Sunday so I'll get another hour or so done on it tomorrow morning before my update pic gets put up for the week.

I notice from Marc's comments on BAPXS - that although he is on Multiply, he's not always checking out *our* blogs - even when they have the name in the title that he'd be interested in ---- {giggle} {evil cackle} Oh well he can wait until tomorrow and see the official updates from us all .....

Really?!?! can you hear the sarcastic tone from here?? if not, turn your volume up..it's there.

This is turning out so wonderful! I love the colors - well except the green part since I can't stand green but when put all together - Wow!

You can't stand green ????? How can you not stand green ?????

Hi Mel,

I don't know why green is a bad thing for me. I love the new grass, spring shoots on the flowers and trees and everything else green when it starts warming up. But to have to wear, stitch or have green decorations in my house almost makes my stomach turn. Which is why I am amazed I finished that John Deere tractor!!

Scott bought me a pink bed sheet set for Xmas and he obviously didn't look at it beyond the pink because on both the pillow cases and main sheet there is a two inch band of almost Military green. They are on my bed but I did point out the awful green to him. LOL!!

Luv and Hugs,

How can you not like green?? that's not normal LOL. Ok, so I don't like that fake lime green that's the fashio colour, but otherwise....it's green! Strange girly!

Michele Anderson said...

That's me strange!! LOL! I am waiting for Denise to chime in here since I know her Multiply site is mostly in greens.

Not at 2am our time she wont - try again in six hours or so .....

I am terrible at figuring out which time zone people are in! Waiting on one e-mail from the UK (if she is still awake) and then to Baltazar.

Enjoy Baltasar - I'm off to bed soon .....

Claire EJ said...

LOL Chele....it's mid afternoon here, just gone 3pm

Michele Anderson said...

See told you I am terrible on time zones!! I was upstairs trying to figure out the color backstitching for Baltazar so I don't put the wrong colors in the wrong places! Those different pinks in the Best of Book are so very close in color. I finally just drew arrows on my pattern and wrote which colors go where! Gee! No wonder everyone hates backstitching!!

I was headache free yesterday but today have a doozy. So I ate a burrito, am having a cup of raspberry tea and then off this beast to try to stitch!

Claire EJ said...

That's why I intend to do most of mine in the one colour. I REFUSE to use NINE different colours for backstitching, it's not natural LOL.

Be careful with that headache honey...I do worry about you.

Michele Anderson said...

Dr. said that I could have headaches up to 3 weeks out. And as long as it isn't any stronger than what it is normally (since head bang) I should be fine. If it comes on sudden, sharp or really painfully strong - it is ER time.

Just so long as you DO take notice of what the doc said.....be careful, love.

Am melting honey for my tea and then I off to upstairs! Oh yeah, right after I throw a load of laundry in! I need a maid so I can stitch!

Everyone have a wonderful day stitching once you all get away from your computer beasts! I am not Superbowl shopping since I am doing Savannah next month and I did order The Cat's Whisker's Stitching Chair, threads, fabric and ribbon from Elegant Stitch. Bad me!

Ta Ta! Luv ya all bunches!
