Backyard - finally.

Ok some of you remember these pics I took when I first moved in to this place.  The right side of the back yard. Note the fence at the bottom corner of the photo.

More of these pics here.

Then during the June Long Weekend in 2007 this happened.

More storm damage pics here:

Now literally twelve months later they are finally starting to clean it all up.  Not properly.  Rather than clearing away the landslide, the owner has decided to simply tidy it up where it is and move the fence there.  Hector will *never* be unburied and I've lost a whole section of two metres wide by six metres long of daffodils and jonquils.

See the mud at the bottom of the picture?  Last weekend that was the remaining tiny section of the bulb garden that remained and there were bulbs growing .... were ....

More current pics of the work in progress here:

sorry to hear this Mel. I hope it gets fixed up to your liking eventually.

Grrrr on that - it used to be wonderful and now, well, not really what you want to look out at - and poor Hector!

See how the fence now jags? It comes across at an angle, then straight then an angle again at the other end. It Used to go straight across leaving me a lovely two metre wide ground level bulb area when I could set up a table and chair set in non-bulb season. Now its so close to the house that I'm not sure anyone *my* size can actually get the corner at the other end.

Its soooo ugly! Thank god I've decided to move instead of buying the place! I hate what they are doing here!

Poor Gothy - have you decided WHERE you are moving to? and when?

All depends when and where I get a job. Can't afford to make any plans or decisions without having a job lined up.

Damn, no Hector....garden does not look exactly improved but I suppose we should be grateful that at least some effort has been made.
So glad you decided not to buy...

You know, it wouldn't even be a bad looking fence she put back up, if she had cleaned up the area first.

It's too bad you lost so much ground area - but, at least it's an effort to do something. But maybe it will make your move, when it happens, a bit easier to bear :)

It's too bad that this is such a "patch up" job rather than fixing it back to what it was {sigh}. Poor Hector!
