As most of you are well aware from my whinging and whining - I get up at 4:30am every morning because I live rurally but work in the city and have a 2 hour commute.
Monday morning I was at work for at least 4 hours when I receive a txt from the other side of the country saying in essence: Its pelting down rain here, I'm staying home snuggled up warm in bed.
I think I was justified in txting back one word: BASTARD!
The next morning I was up at my usual 4:30am. Had a shower and came back into the bedroom to witness this.
She didn't move even after I'd gone and gotten the camera and took about eight different shots.
Methinks I'm the stupid one this week. I keep voluntarily leaving the bed and going to work ...
EDITED to include a close up :)

Ooops, cute shot though!
well we know who the clever one is!!! It's awful having to be up when everyone else is in bed.
I know that feeling, Mel...
I still hang on to my motto that I work for living, not living for work.
Necessities...
Cute photo, by the way - and I agree with what's been said - the other theme was great, but rather hard to read :-) this one is lovely!
Thanks Mariann - even I got fed up with trying to read on the last theme :)
The close up shows one contented cat!
Oh Trubs is so cute! Poor Mum...
She wasn't there when I went *into* the shower ......
She's a clever kitty unlike mine who is once again in the cathouse...
???
What has Buzz done this time?
Same as every time...the bathmat....sighs.....sleep well love if you can find a Trubs free space...
You need to live like a cat Mel!
Good kitty!! I'd be afraid any of mine were there to leave me a gift....
It is an adorable picture but I think I would of growled at the cat myself! I detest my 4 a.m. mornings!! I want to come back as a cat that is as spoiled rotten as my Smokey!! LOL!
Oh yeah, love the new theme. Much easier to read. I loved the other one too since it was my colors but I always had to highlight everything to read it.
Mel - I think it's only marginally better to get the text message about staying in; I get up at 5:30 rather than 4:30, but there are way too many days I leave and J and Molly are both stretched out comfortably and poised to go right back to sleep as soon as my foot hits the bottom stair! I think it may be a [very] wee bit better to only hear about it rather than have to witness it!
Well, when school is in, we are all up before 7, DH at around 6, me right after he gets out of the shower, then Little Kid, then Big. Yeah, not 4:30 or 5:30 - I physically cannot be awake and functioning before 5:30, ever, and would not physically be able to work a job that required me to do so. I've been up around 6 for 20+ years, give or take, and I'm not used to that, so it's not an issue of getting used to it - my internal clock does not work that way. I don't know how people do it.... I am clearly meant to see sunsets, not sunrises - and I'm okay with that :)
I never thought I could do this either until I discovered I had to :) :)
For years I couldn't get out of bed before 7am - and then I changed jobs and had to get up at 6am.
Then I thought I couldn't get up before 6am and then I got a job that requires me to get up at 4:30am.
I mean I could get up at 5:15am and skip all computer activity ......
Yep - in the next life I want to come back as my cat :)
Trubs is just saying she is very grateful for you getting up so early to earn her catfood and she is oh so glad to have this nice little nest so that she can keep your bed warm for you should you decide to come back to bed!
Ha !!!! You should see the "what the f..."?? look of amazement and disgust on her face on the rare occasions I do crawl back into bed .....
LOL really hard! Cus I can just see this cat face clear as a bell!!
It's like Trubs has one of those voice balloons abover her head...well, thanks for the giggles tonight, I'm off to bed.zzzzzzzz
Hmmm so more a "Thanks for warming the bed for me - now go off and leave me in peace" moment then!
Generally I get the glare that says "get out of bed quietly, don't make any noise and for god sake do *not* turn on any lights - I'm trying to sleep here!"
*snerk* so Trubs has learnt her lessons well then !
She's a well-named kitty :-)
That's just too comfy looking not to crawl back into bed.......
I had *such* a hard time resisting the urge just to curl up in there with her.
If there had been another human in there too - I would have been sunk.
I don't know how Paula does it daily!
I could take similar pictures of Sophie who is not at all interested in getting up with me in the mornings.
Trouble ???? Nah - she's probably more aptly named Motormouth lately - especially when you are on the phone - god knows what she'd be like if you came for a visit .....
She loved me to death when I visited all those years ago. Thought I was the best thing ever :-)
Yes the *only* person she's ever left me for! Curious to see if it is still the case :)
OMG - that's toooooo funny. Typical though.
That's adorable Mel! Before my dog got her doggie bed, she used to snuggle in our bed, pillows and covers and all! We used to have to wake her up when we came home from work!! Our pets sure do live the pampered life. Free food, free medical care, belly rubs to our hearts content...
Now thats someone who has the right idea. Love the silk sheets too.
I only wish the sheets were silk !!!! They are cotton - its the metallic threads and sheen that came up with the flash that makes them look more sumptuous than they are :)
