Gibber gibber !!!

It appears I will be spending Easter in Melbourne.  A good friend offered me airline tickets and accommodation and then spent three hours on the phone last night enticing me with the promises of delights of choclatiers ...

This afternoon I said yes.  20 minutes later the flight details arrived in my inbox.  Apparently I'm flying down after work on Thursday night and coming back the following Wednesday morning.

I'm stunned and amazed and really can't quite believe that I'm awake .... but you can't wipe the smile off my face either :)

Wow, a entire week away. He really is a good guy:)
Computer access there too this time?? I know he offered chocolates, but internet should be an essential too LOL.

Possible budding romance????

Great invitation, Mel! I'm glad you took it!

Indeed possible.... its one of the reasons that he's invited me for almost a week - to spend some decent time in each others company in Real Life (as opposed the myriad of txt emails and phone calls we are doing daily) and to see how it goes.

Unfortunately the reality is, yet again (like 7 years ago when we attempted a relationship) distance is going to be a huge factor. His work has just moved him to the other side of the the country for the rest of the year.

Unlike last time, we are both older and wiser now and can say "yes there is something there but its just not practical".

But yes there is a definite spark there. He really is an incredibly sweet person - and a grown up too !!!!

LOL !!!! He will have Internet Access - he's an IT geek - so I'll just mug his laptop or Blackberry for an hour-ish a day ..... if worst comes to the worst the hotel we're staying in will have Internet access .... I just have to pay for it ....

Thank you I'm really excited about this - a real holiday !! And I caught up with some friends from Ballarat (about 2 hours drive outside Melbourne) last night on the phone so Stephen and I will be spending easter Sunday lunch with them .....

So far it all seems to be working out quite well .......

Here's hoping that you'll both find the grown up solution then. And wishing you the best Easter holiday you ever had, no matter the decision.

So if you have a spark, who the hell needs practical? First you beg for someone romantic and then when a man steps forward and does something incredibly romantic, like fly you out to see him for a week, you put a mental block around him and say it isn't 'practical'?!?! I am not saying run off and marry the man, but drop that wall and give him an honest chance. Turn off your nagging logic and look at him with your heart for that week.
(off soap box now)
And Have Fun!!

Sounds like you're all set for a great vacation and maybe a little something extra in the romance department (no pressure, but wooohooo!) - I'm so happy for you, sounds like your year is looking up! = )

You go and have a fantastic time. Just take everything as it comes and thoroughly enjoy yourself. Go with an open mind, an open heart and the determination that you wont put obstacles in the way to what could well be the beginning of something beautiful.

Dont forget we want a blow by blow account of EVERYTHING you get up to:)))))

Melissa Hicks said...

Are you *sure* you want to make that statement ????

Karen R said...

HeHe :) That kinda crossed my mind....
