Its cold !!!

There is nothing more likely to snap me out of lethargic melancholia that a sudden cold snap.

It was 23 degrees at 6am when I got on the train.

when I got off the train nearly 2 hours later, it was only 12 degrees and with a wind chill factor even lower.

Translation: Fuck I'm cold !!!!

There is indeed a nasty cold front coming in. It hit Melbourne yesterday and has been making its way up the coast over night.

12? Behave!

It's been a balmy 10 and upto 12 here today. People out in shorts and singlets.

Was 14 here...until it pissed down and dropped like the proverbial stone...Steve [the prophet of doom] says it may snow here on the weekend.

hey hey hey !!!! I'm in the Southern Hemisphere - its still *supposed* to be warm here !!! we're all still wearing our "expecting 40 plus" clothes to work!

Did my first reply not convey enough outrage??

Shudders at thought of your cold front...brrr

Sorry - was reacting to Jim's comments honey - not yours :)

Um was out in sandals and a short sleeved polo shirt today. Heating is right down in the house and I'm still a bit too warm for comfort. I even slept with the bedroom window open last night and this afternoon.
A 12 degree drop in Sydney is a bit extreme, even for an Aussie autumn tho. You have my sympathies. l'd also be frozen.

Sod the cold front - it's the cold back I can't deal with!

Ok - I'll stop whinging then about the snow here yesterday and the frost on the car windows this morning. :) At least it's mot really supposed to be all that warm in Iowa yet! (Or NYS for that matter, either lol)

I hate to say it but it's been nice here recently. Not quite shorts weather, but up into the sixties some days. That said, it was in the teens here a lot this winter, so I can commiserate with you Mel. I hope it gets warmer there ASAP!! You too Claire and Jim and Paula!

I hope you had a good jump in a hot bathtub and a more cosy evening! I'm mostly freezing, too, at the moment. Anybody told the weather that it's supposed to switch to "spring"? Or: which part of the word "spring" has our weather NOT understood? It's snowing down way too far for my comfort zone and raining too much, bloody wind won't stop and the clouds don't want to go away either :-(

I hope you have a good heating...

He might not be off that far - they are forecasting snow possibly down to the lowlands here for Sunday - mega-yuck!

Barmy is more like it! But then many of you Brits don't seem to feel much cold. Been there in April before and while we all wore thick stuff and saw people in t-shirts. Brrrrrr!

Here in Yass it is only 2 degrees when I leave for work, and only reaches up to 16 degrees during the day before it falls to 2 again over night.

Melissa Hicks said...

OK you win - I'm not moving home !!! I'll stay up here on the coast thank you !!!!!

Claire EJ said...

Yeah, I'd stick with the coast...sounds horribly cold where Denise lives, brrrr....warm here today, still wore my new Purple jacket though:)

Melissa Hicks said...

Ya gotta wear stuff that makes you feel good to icky appointments !!!!!

Claire EJ said...

Quite right...especially when the Dr is a cutie.

Melissa Hicks said...

Oooooh lucky you !!!!!!

That just gets slightly depressing, when all doctors start to be younger than you :-)
