The Light - its burns !!!!!

Woke up to a txt msg this morning at 7:15am.  My bedroom was flooded with light !!!  I was sooo disoriented that I wasn't sure what was happening ....

It was sunlight.

Its been raining here for 16 days straight.  I haven't woken up to a sunlit filled bedroom in nearly a month .....

Two hours later and the sun is still shining brightly - I think I might spend today out and about ....

Good grief....the bright stuff actually arrived...no wonder you were confused...so that old man with the boat can pack it all away again for a while, phew.

Glad your getting some sunshine. It's warming up here in Algeria now - regularly hitting 26/27 degrees, and clear blue sky. There is a worry that we didn't get as much rain as usual this winter, so I hope there won't be water shortages this year.

I know how you feel...

First glimpse of sunlight through my windows and the blinds are closed for the rest of the summer...

Lucky girl. Having said that this week has been good. Lots of sun and things are actually beginning to grow. I can see peas, spinach and beetroot peeping through. Time to get the sun tan lotion and sun glasses out at last

Ooooh I miss the magic of a veggie garden coming up ....

Yeah but Vamps - I'm heading into winter and I can still only count the number of days this year I woke to sunlight streaming into my bedroom on one hand .... happens when you are on your way to work before the sun rises ....

If today has been any indication, Spring is now over here in Atlanta, and summer has arrived. And we are 3" short on rain already :(

Glad to hear that you've finally gotten some sun Mel. Now if you could just send the rain my way for a few days. We could surely use some.

Julie I've been trying to send it in every direction I possibly can - it seems to have worked as today is the second sunny day in a row !!!! And its Sunday so I'm off to brunch :) :)

LOL !!!!! Yep in another 12 hours I will be back at WORK after a three day long weekend. But I still have another couple of hours before bed to enjoy it - starting with dessert :) :)

I've already had "dessert" and kicked him out to go to the shop for milk so he can make the coffee lmfao

Ooh Lucky Gothy having Sun! it has been down right miserable here for most of the week (mind you even so my tomato seedlings have started to come up!)

Hope you got out and enjoyed your 2 days of sun!

I did Nancy - had my usual long brunch with a friend on Sunday and spent most of Saturday sitting out on balcony supposedly stitching but mostly dozing .....

Suonds like a lovely weekend! We actually lucked out and the rain held off until today when we have to be at work. Didn't get much time for just sitting in the sun, but did spend some time doing yard work!

Sounds like a fantastic weekend Gothy (even if your OH wasn't there), I spent Saturday and Sunday on my own during the day as the BOFH had to go into work - mind you we did go out for a Chinese Meal on Saturday night which was smashing :-)

Mel, it's amazing when it finally keeps shining, isn't it? Glad you had an enjoyable day!!

Melissa Hicks said...

It may be shining but it is now freezing !!! Day before yesterday was the coldest April day in 60 years.

Yesterday at this time we had an apparent temperature of 3.4, today its 3.9 degrees Celcius.

This is July weather - not April!
