Yes Don't fall over in a faint - I know I haven't posted a Sunday update in quite a while .....
While I was in Perth last month, I started Wizard's Inkwell. Thank you so much to Paula for the suggestion - this looks like a fun project and the colours so far seem to be working well. I am waiting on some Kreinik braid to arrive before I move onto the next part of this one.
Also while I was in Perth, I started some of the masses of back stitching required for Jasper. Two side of the frame have been fully back stitched. the other two sides are barely started and the actual middle is barely started. I worked on this for about 15 hours ......
Finally this week I gritted my teeth, swore at my eyesight and did BoInk Part 7. I loved this part - I love Celtic Swirls ..... This part's photo was taken outside so the colouring is quite different from previous photographs. The dark blue stands out so much more but the green looks muted and washed out ....
Anyway - that's my progress. Hope everyone else had a good week this week.

You've been busy! Jasper is really cute.....you can definitely see where you have bs'd which at least makes that misery worth it. Boink continues to look really awesome.
Wonderful progress Mel! Great start on Wizard's Inkwell! BoINK looks amazing!!!
Great progress on all, Mel - BoInk looks fantastic!!!
Great progress. I shall post my next instalment next week when its finished.
Super progress.
Thanks everyone!
Great progress on all and I do not envy you the backstitch!
Lots of progress there! Maybe, for the next three weeks you could stitch on plastic canvas. Make yourself one of those tissue box holders. Sorry, but it's the mother in me coming out. Should I duck and hide somewhere now?
hmmm a tissue box holder with a subversive message on it ........ on black canvas ...
No, no,no. No black canvas! A cover for the spare roll of toilet paper with a subversive message could be interesting.
Oh great, the warped side of my mind has taken over. I'm now seeing toilet paper covers with 'chocolate covered fingers inside' or ' fudge wipes'.
its my birthday in a fortnight - I look forward to seeing such a design stitched by you Twana :) :) :)
Sheesh! You must have me confused with Rosanne. The only thing I could manage to send in a fortnight would be materials. For a finished project Christmas would be a more manageable date. :)
I can do Christmas - might even have a new address arranged by then :) :)
And yes Rosanne is notable in her stitching speed isn't she!
Stop making me blush! I'm not that fast - I just have a lot of hours to fill in each day because I can't do physical activity. If you had 14 hours a day to fill with purposeful activity, you would appear to be as fast as I seem to be.
No - I'd spend it on the Internet :) :) Or reading or .......
Mel - who just hit dark blue on black fabric again on BoInk. Its been put down until the sunny daylight again - Saturday I hope.
Great update Mel! BoINK looks very nice, love the colors of that block. Yes, mine is still black and fabric. lol Wizards Inkwell looks like it will be an interesting one. Jasper is coming along very nice. The back stitching does help the piece to stand out a bit more, sorry!! lol Can you tell I'm not a huge fan of back stitching?? ;)
Lots of great stitching! I love your BoInk on black, but I'm sure your eyes must have fits over it in their current state. I hope that resolves itself quickly!
All good stuff Mel - congrats on all your progress! BoInk is on hold for me until I finish up some other projects that I've got 3/4 or more done. I'm struggling through personalizing a birth sampler right now - ugh! Took me 3 hours last night to just do the date (still have to do the weight. Argh!)
Looking forward to seeing your progress on Wizard's Inkwell - that looks like a neat pattern! Made a comment on Jasper's page - he is going to look great when the bs is done!
