Mum's Birthday 24 October.

OK, based on Claire's cheekiness - I'm going add some of my own ....

Most of you know my mum Denise.  Its her birthday this month and although she's been really quiet lately I *know* she would appreciate hearing from you guys.

Lord knows she's never going to receive even a card from anybody else - and if I attempt to send a large present or more than item - I will be skinned alive.

So for those of you who could afford it, I know mum would really really appreciate a birthday card with maybe a skein of floss in it.  (She *is* a flossaholic).

My secret project is for her - I am very close to having it done :) It might be a bit late, but it will get there eventually....

Would Mum appreciate the humor of the recently found Xmas cards with silk flosses?

I mailed a package to her last week. I didn't know it was her b-day, and forgot to put any card in it, but I hope it cheers her just a bit. I also hope it gets there soon. The postage was less than I had anticipated and now I wonder if the lady put in the right postal code.

Nope, not yet :) Mean, ain't I? But it won't be long before the stitching itself is done - assembling will be the PITA, I expect...

Does she like chocolate, too, Mel? I don't have anything interesting in terms of floss at hand, but chocolate is easy to find around here, as you might know ;-)

As someone who regular posts out her Christmas cards at Christmas Eve ... yes I think she would!

Melissa Hicks said...

She does - but nowhere near the way I do. I often find her Easter chocolate still in the fridge at Christmas :)

A small quantity of dark chocolate would be lovely :)

assembling ???? Oooooh really intrigued now!

Awwww thank you so much Sisu.

Is the postcode the same as above 2582? Otherwise it will find its way to her eventually :)

I meant the country code they typed in. Someone had a package arrive 3 months late because the postal worker entered the country code for Austria, LOL.
But I just checked the receipt and it did say Australia. Whew.
It was supposed to be there in 10 days. It has been 16.

OK I gave mum a phone call and there was definitely no "Squee look what I got in the mail". So not yet. But she is out in the sticks and things always take at least a week longer to get to her. The DownSunshineLane floss clubs we are both in - mum receives her floss about two weeks later than I do ......

My package is going out today - I knew it would be late, but as it wasn't actually started with the intention of being a birthday gift, it still works out :)

Yep - based on how long Sisu's took to arrive - I thouk you could have been safe wrapping yours in Christmas paper :)

Denise e-mailed me that it arrived today! YAY! Just in time for her b-day and 29 days after I mailed it.

Yep she received yours (it took how long), Claire's (usual timing) and mine (super super quick) all on the same day - her actual birthday!

She was really chuffed and loved all her pressies! I'm hoping she gets a chance after work today to upload soome pics and compose a quick blog.

Sisu - she raved about the socks!
