This is a nice little outdoor niche for inner city living. Great gardening potential around the edges. Do you like to garden?

I do like to garden but this is a rental apartment. The grounds and what I can and cannot do with them is controlled by a body corporate for the entire complex. So I'll just keep it neat and tidy and as is.

And plan my garden for when I finally own my own home ...

I plan on at least having:
* veggie and herb patch
* fruit berry orchard/patch (OK I'm thinking big)
* butterfly garden (put in plants that attract butterflies)

So yeah - but that will be in my own home ......

Lovely rose! I love it when mine are full of buds and then watch them opening one by one. I've just cut off one of the last ones for this year to keep it inside....

Only a faint scent .... I think a spray of them in the house would be beautiful - but the merest cooking smell would overpower them - not like the Mr Lincoln that you have!

Yes, definitely find another place for the bins, otherwise, great space!

Very pretty and so nicely centred with all the buds around it.

Looks like a perfect spot for a lunch and relax...

It is a nice area - quite sunny too.

Also you may not be able to see it, but there's a glass bowl on the table with parrot food in it ....

No takers yet but I'm still hopeful ....

oh yes, I see it now....they'll turn up, I'm sure.

Either Trubs is a very big cat or that table is only just big enough to put two wine glasses and the wine bottle on!

Very nice space - love those trees that go up and out, leaving you underneath! They've done a nice job making the walls not look like old plain walls! Though I think you need a nice comfy chaise out there where the bins are :)

Oh, you think you'll get parrots here??? Even in the urban areas??

Melissa Hicks said...

There are LOTS of Lorikeets here - I've just got to get them used to including my area on their scavenging run .....

Its the angle of the shot Hilary - trust me when I say that table is big enough for two wine glasses two bottles of wine and a HUGE plate of tapas ....

Alison and I proved that more times that I can count (and less times than I wanted - I miss her).

Ah hah..now I see why you can't attract the local birds...they can smell Madam Trubs...
