Health or Happiness?

Slender or self esteem?

Hard work or easy fix?

I went out this morning intending to buy a fitness DVD - you know one of those ones you play at home and no-one else can see your flabby bits jiggling as you sweat and strain along doing the workouts ....

I came home with new lingerie instead.  A lovely transparent black and cream bra and knickers set ...

Knowing that those kind of dvd's get maybe one watch without any activity at the same time, you are better off with the underwear and maybe buy a skipping rope...

Sounds to me as if you made the right choice - after all wearing that type of lingerie you could end up with a workout as well :-)

Well yes if I had a current partner it would be nigh well guaranteed - and I've always said that good sex is my favourite form of exercise .... but its not happening lately ...... maybe have to hunt down a skipping rope tomorrow ???

I was thinking it could be a work out putting the lingerie on!!! How about some rubber lingerie, you could then work up a sweat in it and lose weight that way...

Go with the skipping rope...boxers use them all the time for cardio work....superb work out. You look stupid doing it but my goodness, it works on stamina fast.

EUWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW !!!!!!!!!!

Sorry dear, leather or silk only :)

Don't rule out the pvc Tig...

I watch those damn exercise dvds all the time and I still don't feel any fitter. Mind you the kid says you actually have to stand up and imitate the jiggling to have any effect.

Blah.

I was actually thinking of doing that Vamps !!! I think the retail therapy helped me put my delusions in perspective :)

See? I'm the ultimate lazy git. I buy the lingerie and the exercise dvds online so I don't even have to move out of the house to go shopping...

Works for me....lol

Next time, buy the lingerie one size too small and then work at getting into it. That gives you both retail therapy and a work out, LOL.

Melissa Hicks said...

PMSL !!! Sorry honey done that before and its simply a waste of money !!!!!

That technique has *never* worked for me :)

Sisu Lull said...

Well, I tried. It didn't work for me either. My butt in lingerie looks like a marshmallow wrapped in dental floss. Not a pretty picture.

LOL, that's nice. I hope you enjoyed your shopping trip.

Hang onto the lingerie. If you think your'e fat then take a look
at http://channel4 and.com/video/half_ton_dad.

Hang onto the lingerie. If you think you are overweight then have a look at http://channel4.com and find tv clips and look at Mummys boy.

Oh dear - that mother needs to be given to a therapist or simply taken out and shot ! What a stupid stupid woman!

kay jones said...

Its unbelievable. I cant imagine 73 stone........

Melissa Hicks said...

I am indeed overweight. But I believe there are indeed people who do not think I am repulsive to look at naked :) Indeed I do get an astonishing amount of compliments from my partners over the years ... and I say astonishing because it does astonish the heck out of me. Only partner I had that never told me that I was beautiful was my husband ....

I'm a size 16DD bra and size 16 knickers Now I think that translates to a 14 in UK and a 12 in US. Not svelte by *any* stretch of the imagination - but not disgusting either ....

Good grief I used indeed three times in the beginning of that last post !!!!!

I hope he was taken away from his mother and started on some exercise at the end of the show -I mean they did do something positive didn't they rather than just whine about how bad it was?

the heaviest I've ever been was 17 stone. I'm currently14 stone.

The tv programme starts next week and they apparently put him on some sort of programme (its American). However, what the hell do they do with all that skin thats going to be left over if and when they managed to get him to lose weight. Even if they pare him down to 33 stone thats 40 stone to lose

I'm trying to diet at the moment. I'm 11 and a half stone and want to get down to 10

Melissa Hicks said...

Wow - I'm only trying to get down to 11. I figure that's scrawny enough for me .....

Sisu Lull said...

Mel, I had to do a conversion. I am currently 11 and a half stones. To heavy for me because I have a very light bone structure. I can feel it in my joints that I am too heavy. I felt my best around 9 and a quarter stone.
I wear between a 12 and a 14 US sizes and am also a DD cup. You and I sound like we may be close to the same size. And I don't know if any partners might think I look good now, because I have only had DH since I weighed 7 and a half stones. Back then, yes, men told me I looked good. Then again, the United States is well known for creating a riduculous body image for women. Women are supposed to have CURVES, not ANGLES. LOL.

Melissa Hicks said...

Yup - that's why my goal is around 70 kilos. Too heavy according to the charts, but lighter than I am now and I will still have all the right curves !!!!!!

The lingerie will, I assure you, do much more for your self esteem than the Fitness DVD! Funny how new lingerie makes your body look good, isn't it?

Paula Hubert said...

Together??? To be used at the same time????

{stumbles away as rapidly as Monday morning will allow}

Paula Hubert said...

Ok, silliness aside, I'm sure that the lingeree will both do more for your self esteem and see more actual use than the fitness dvd. :)

Claire EJ said...

Not such a bad idea.....less clothing on for when you work up a sweat.

Hilary Syddall said...

Back to the PVC lingerie I see then!

Melissa Hicks said...

Have any of you actually worked up a sweat while wearing PVC ???? Let me tell you its icky !!!!

Claire EJ said...

ahem..just the once. I would NEVER do it again. The rashes were too ugly and itchy.

Hilary Syddall said...

Well true - but effective!

Melissa Hicks said...

EXACTLY my point !!!!

PVC does not breathe - ypu do not want to get sweaty in it - it is UGLY !!!!
