Thanks Rachel! On the left where you can't see, is a full length floor to ceiling built in bookcase. There are also three built in wardrobes in the room. This area above the bed is the *ONLY* unused wall space.
I love bookshelves- I love books. Since the girls have been born more and more of my books are going to make space for theirs! I love how you have used the room!
The is the one and only room in my house that looks good enough for a photo :) I've spent most of my life with mismatched hand-me-down furniture from friends and relatives.
Even now, apart from my bed, the rest is cheap flat-pack from an IKEA type store ....
I do adore my bed though! Apart from the car, it is the single biggest expense I've spent on a single item .... and it is blissful to sleep in.
LOL Marc !!! I don't know whether to warn you now, when there's nothing happening except me (and the cat) sleeping or whether to warn you when I do get a partner so you don't get an unexpected education ....
It doesn't really show in these pictures but the framing, the bed frame,, the bed linen and the drapes all have the same brassy metallic undertone to them .....
Looks great and perfectly placed. Hope its VERY secure on the wall tho. I can imagine his lordships face if it falls on him when he's in the middle of ravishing you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL !!!! It is indeed very secure - I've had cross stitches up there since I first moved in and nothing has fallen on anyone doing any ravishing (or being ravished) yet :) :)
