All the cross stitching is now done. All that remains is the backstitching. I cannot backstitch over already stitched work on 16ct Aida on a train - so this one will go intot he "wait till I get time at home pile". Goodness knows when I will actually get to it - there is a fair amount of backstitching on this one.

I thought I recognized it, but now can't find what I thought it was.... I'm going to bed - maybe it'll come to me in a dream :)
Sigh...have just been through your RAk albums and nada,,,,I know it but at 5am, can't name it.
okay - give! what is this going to be?
Looks good so far, whatever it is.
I'm guessing Debbie Draper, but I don't know which one - Jasper or Lucky; I'm going to say Lucky, all things considered :)
Ooooh so close .......
I had pretty much figured Debbie Draper, too - but couldn't begin to think of exactly which one...
Catt a Latte
You are alll so close ......
PMSL...I went through the Stitching Bits n Bobs catalogue to try and work out what this one was but got bored at the "c" section
Canned Meows?
http://www.debbiedraperdesigns.com/Meowy%20Valentine.html ?
Lets just say that Karen was the closest ......
So I'll guess Jasper
And Lyn wins the prize with Karen getting an honorary mention :)
Mel, he's so cute! makes me sniff cos our baby kitty was called Jasper..he lived all of 10 months...
I love the funny faces on these ones:)
Oh crap I forgot !!! I am soooo sorry Claire!
He's cute! That's a good name for a cat :) Sorry about your little guy, Claire.
He's adorable... I love these little guys.
{{Claire}} your Jasper had a wondeful home, though... he definitely made up for quantity of time with quality by living with you!
You are making great progress Mel - keep up the good work~!
Nice progress and its fun you made a contest out of it too!
Wow, he's almost done!
Very cute! Even if you are only stitching a bit on the train, at least you are still getting finishes!
He's not finished yet. Still need to do the background and the backstitching.
Funny, I thought he looked finished too.. Lovely piece this one. They are a great fun series of cats:)
I knew he wasn't finished, but he is getting close. I was talking more about the other pieces you have finished on the train and how your heading towards another finish with Jasper.

Cute!! Ordinarily, I wouldn't give something like this a second glance, but I just love Debbie's cats for some reason - must be their expressions :)
Ditto - the stitching on this is sooo simple as to be ridiculous - but they are such a joy to stitch !!!!
He looks fabulous! Can't believe you still have more stitching to do, I thought he was finished when I saw the picture.
Ohhhh lots more still to do. I finished the background on the train this morning - now I have the zillion hours of backstitching to do - and I can't do that on the train - so not sure when that will get done .....
Excellent progress Mel! Hopefully the backstitching goes quickly for you on this one. It's going to be a cute finish!
Very cute Mel! Such a bright and cheery little kitty!
He certainly is that Sisu :) :)
Cute.
So cute!!! So simple but such great impact!
Just send him my way, I can finish the backstitching in a flash! He's too cute to let linger in your *pile*
You know Nancy that is very very tempting .....
Well now that I have a finish, I could do it. May not be worth the price of shipping but thought I would throw the offer out there to you.
Well he'd be much cheaper to ship than the kilo of chocolate and chocolate biscuits I sent to Tina last week - OUCH!
Such a shame he has to hit the pile. Why is backstitching hard to do on the train?
Train moves too much to get an accurate tension or accuracy in placement of needle - very very obvious with backstitching if it is not right ....
Hugs
I've never stitched while riding, thank you for explaining.
If you could see some closeups of my pieces you can see that the train-stitched stuff is never as nice as the home-stitched stuff. That's why models and RRs are *always* stitched at home ....
Such a CCCCUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE kitty!
Im sure that with your super stitching powers you will have him backstitched in no time.
Super stitching powers?? I think you have confused with someone else like Claire or Rosanne ......
The only way I would obtain super stitching powers is to marry a rich mad scientist who would spend all his time in the laboratory leaving me free to spend all my time stitching and spending his money on stash ...
And he would have an Igor that could replace my eyes and my digestive system .... and remove 75% of my body fat and maybe add an extra couple of inches in height .....
Hmmm that fantasy is becoming all too enticing .....
Great progress on the backstitching! Your getting there!
So I guess its not making the way over the pond for me to do it.....:-)
Don't offer - otherwise it will be packaged up tonight :) :)
Pretty sure I offered that a few posts ago, better go check the comments again......
Jasper is looking super!
I didn't realize that there was all of the back stitching in the border too - yipe! But he's looking good!
Looks great Mel! and he's going to look even better when all that backstitching pays off and makes him just 'pop' right out!
I didn't fully realize the extent until I sat down to do him either - oh well - maybe he'll be a good one to finish off when everything else is packed later this month.
Go with that back stitching, it will make it pop!
I think I'd be tempted to do a long side of the border, then move to something with curves, then another length on the border - but since you got the border done, now it's just the fun parts, where you can watch it start to pop out :)
I've only done half the border - I think I might try your ideas to help me through the second part of the border - thanks Karen.
Jasper is so cute!!
All the backstitching I was dreading took me two nights in front of the TV. Jasper should have been finished off much much sooner!
Way to go Mel!
Good job - he's cute!!
Funny how you put things down for whatever reason and then it's done in just a few hours...if you had only known.
He is adorable. You should display him prominently. He is cute enough to make you smile just looking at him.
He's adorable! Congrats on getting him finished off!
I should frame him and take him to work. Display him right next to the "Stitch Bitch" sign that Julie stitched for me :) That will confuse people :) :)
