There are times when you've just got to laugh .....
I've taken today off work. To stop myself moping I thought I'd put on some happy music and clean the house - my usual "get myself out of this funk routine".
Pulled up my online music, randomised the list of over 3000 songs and hit play.
The first five songs in order (and I'm *not* making this up):
Queen - Somebody to Love
Mental as Anything - He's just no good for you
Living End - Tainted Love (cover)
Offspring: Self Esteem
Tansvision Vamp: Baby I Don't Care
Oh I am sooo easily amused!

Do I show age if I admit that the only one I actually *know* of these is the Queen one?
The randomiser must have known something though
Not really - Living End and Mental as Anything are both relatively unknown outside Australia ... and most of the others falls in the hard rock / punk genre - which isn't your style Mariann ....
Ah, okay.
But did you know that I was a pretty strong hard rock fan in my time? Give me Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple and even the old Black Sabbath stuff and I'll listen to it still!
Mix that with Bach, Mozart and Grieg and you have a fairly freaky kind of mixture, he he
Probably their only hit over here...
Add in some 1980's music and a little Keane, Kosheen and Cause and effect and you have what we listen to in the car, not forgetting Pink Floyd of course....I feel so old..
Ok this is the exact version that came up this morning:
Ok this is the exact version that came up this morning ......
And then here's the next one .... which changed me from chuckling to howling with laughter - listen to the beginning of the lyrics
And my favourite band, but no where near their best work - not by a long shot.
Gotta be played up loud !!!!
And finally leave the music up loud - this is a favourite driving song .... wonder why I had so many speeding tickets ......
So there you have a small window (5 out of the 3000 or so songs) into my style of music especially when I need a lift or some housework being done - glad my landlady was at work all day ....
Will turn the volume up once Steve is awake or at work LOL. I wouldn't dream of doing so now a good hour and a half before he crawls out of the swamp...
Ooooh he definitely would not appreciate the beginning of the last two songs .....
Wasn't "Mental as Anything" the band in Crocodile Dundee? I could be wrong...
Love the playlist babes.
