Such language Mel - h*******k is a dictionary-defined swearword! About my level too - I try vey hard not to clean being a disciple of the Quentin Crisp school of cleaning. He said that that the dust doesn't get any worse after three years.
Hmm - I am thinking before my parents come down that Mark and I will need to do a major clean and tidy! (wonder if I can get someone to do a one off deep down clean!)
Ah, so I would just have to be patient for three years??
Darn! And I just gave up on Friday after about six weeks - vacuumed the whole flat! That doesn't make me a good housecleaner does it? - Phew, thought so
Have you ever noticed that - as soon as you get one room of the house spotless you get an incredible urge to go hell for leather on whatever hobby you use that room for ..... or is that just me?
The only rooms in this house that have ever been spotless are the bathrooms and the kitchen.... So, I guess, if you take into account that we don't really call them bathrooms, but the Library :), then yes; cooking isn't a hobby, but a necessity :) Someday, when I don't have house full of Pigpen's....
Same with my house, Karen. Somehow I can't even get my stitching area to what I'd call "spotless" :). J does the bathrooms, and I have to say he does a great job of them. It's the one room I hate cleaning above all others!

Could be me, too... I just about managed to vacuum my flat on Friday. Should sweep the floor, but got distracted by the garden

I do the "sweeping with a glance" all the time.. but with my eyes closed...

LOL, that used to be my idea of housework, but not anymore.
I am improving!
A spotless house is a sign of a person with no hobbies - which I know doesn't apply to any of us :)

ah living on my own - I can certainly refer to cooking as a hobby :)
