Had a great day yesterday - did some food shopping and went to the movies and then sat up late chatting with mum last night.
Checked the Post Office this morning and guess what had arrived - the fabric for the *third* start of TW's The Castle :) Naomi must have been really really on the ball :) So I'll be starting along with everyone else on 1st Jan - its just that I will be starting from scratch {again} !!!!
So a quiet afternoon this afternoon watching the cricket, doing some stitching and waiting for the Foxtel installation man to arrive so I can watch cable TV :) (well satellite TV to be accurate).
Why do I have to go back to work - ever ????

What a pretty colour fabric. Good luck on your new start.
How's the cricket going??? One thing I really miss here - I can't find any arabic channels that show cricket!!!
Cricket did not last very long was finished by the time I arrived back home from my holiday, 4 wins to Australia. Good luck with your "new start".
Oh phew! That was fast on the fabric, amazing!!! She must've realised just how desperate I am for my co-castler to be with us when the SAL gets going!!!
Wow - glad you got your fabric in time to start with us! I had a sudden brain storm last night; the fabric I was going to use has quite a bit of green mottled in it. I have another piece that has soft sunset-y colors. I'm going to try to do a floss toss tonight and see if that will work better. Either way, I'm starting on Jan 1!
I did half wonder of Naomi lurks on BAPXS or is attached to someone's blog :) But decided she just has a really really fast turnaround time :)
So yes it will be from scratch - but I will be joining you on 1 Jan depending on who is monopolising my time that day ....
OK so where are the pics of your floss toss on both fabrics ?????
Yup the Aussies vs the Brits Ashes Test was a shame, not a game - Poms all out twice and game finished before the end of the third day !!!!
And mum - glad you got home OK and you've got your computer up and running :)
Their website did say they were open Christmas Eve, so who knows, maybe the Santa fairy came through and got the fabric out really really fast!!! Either way I'm sooooo glad.
I can't see me stitching 1st Jan...I'm sure we're out for the day but who knows, he feels weird, my blood pressure is lower than low, so we may well be home. If we are, I'm there. If not, I'll be stitching 2nd Jan!!!
There was cricket? Yawnnnzzzzzz...I hate cricket so really don't care who won.
Salem's making funny noises - I think the ball bearings int he back wheels need replacing - so I'm going to try and get her scheduled in for a service next week - so not going anywhere this weekend. Not going anywhere I don't absolutely have to until I get her serviced and checked out. One thing with cars, fix it as soon as you know about it or it just costs more and more money !!!
So no big New Years Eve plans for me - even if Dad is *not* here by then :)
New Year's Eve has a tradition for us. We have a Thai takeaway, sit in front of the tv and drink ourselves happy! LOL. I stitch, he surfs ebay or wherever and then at midnight after watching Big Ben on tv, we go outside to watch fireworks.
We are so boring.
Gee mine feels a little high at the moment for some unknown reason - want some ????
Seriously, hope you both feel better soon!
Yeah, I'd have some....dizzy, headachy, brain feels weird...would definitely like some extra oxygenated blood floating around it......
That's not good - would food help?
It is dinner time, but I think this is the thyroid acting up or whatever it is that he's got wrong....Hoping he doesn't have shingles as I haven't had chickenpox yet....sigh.
Sounds fabulous to me :) Unfortunately Paul is very much a "I must be where the party is" person - so I'm not even going to consider inviting him over for that evening - and the car's not well enough for a second trip to DKs before next week's servicing. So I'll be on my own - watching free to air TV - probably swearing at Livres CHat Rouge because I want it finished before midnight.
Or my dad will be here and I'll be hissing at him to turn the music down because he's be playing opera loud enough for people in the next suburb to hear it ...
Oh seriously not good!!! Not in adults !!!! Many hugs and crossed fingers that its not that!
Been around any infected kids lately ???
Steve just got back from the dr's and yes, he does have shingles, sigh! he has an antiviral to take five times a day and we'l just have to see how it goes, sigh.
Apparently it is not contagious unless you touch the fluid from the rashy thingies.!!! And you can't get chickenpox from it, phew.
Well, if you haven't already, check my photo album and blog. Didn't get to that until last night.... but the pics are there now!
{{Claire and Steve}} Hope you're both feeling better soon! And you're not boring at all - our big New Year's Eve is a potluck dinner with my parents, sister and borither-in-law and one of my dad's cousins and his wife. We have dinner, play cards or board games till midnight and that's it. Usually we go to my sister's, but this year, we're having everyone at our house - J and I are on ambulance duty, and my sister lives too far away. J is working till midnight, and if I have to go out on a call, Mum's in charge!
