I Can Has Beanbag!

Stephen posted me a couple of BeanBag covers a while ago with the comment, "set one of these up for Trubs - she'd love it".

So today while out I bought some beans and filled one Bean Bag.  Well alright I got it absolutely everywhere and I suspect I'll be finding stray beans for years ....

Anyway finally I got it filled and the area cleaned up and I sat down back with my stitching.  It took less than 5 minutes before I could take this picture .....

When she gets up I'll rearrange the beans a little to make it more comfortable for her ....

I bet the dogs would love those too, but they'd did at them to get them just right. I'd have beans everywhere too...haha

Filling a bean bag - especially one with such a small opening is definitely a two person job!

Great beanbag! I know a couple dogs in my house who'd love them too, but Lyne's right - they'd dig and beans would be everywhere! The kids would probably just figure out a way to conk each other with them....

Cats!, if you want the most comfortable seat, move the cat!

Dogs love bean bags too. DH's sprang a leak, but up until then, the dog slept on it all the time.

Ahhh, that's the life, innit?

When I die and come back I'm going to be a cat - either that or a labrador dog........

Melissa Hicks said...

I've always said - when I die I want to come back as my cat.

Yes I'm aware there's a logic discrepancy there ...

Okay BOFH just said on seeing this for the first time

"Spider Cat ....Spider cat"

Melissa Hicks said...

You didn't think Mr S would be sending me pastel tasteful beanbag covers now do you? He loves me far tooo much for that!

Hilary Syddall said...

Well we hoped not! The BOFH has declared that Mr NTB is a suitable minion for her Gothness!

Karen R said...

Well, thank goodness that's settled! LOL

Melissa Hicks said...

ROTFL !!! I shall inform Mr NTB that he has The Dragon's BOTH's seal of approval :)

Hilary Syddall said...

Glad you like the endorsement!

I suppose it's the small things like this that put Mr NTB so high on Trub's "Most Favored Servant" list, eh? LOL

Melissa Hicks said...

Mr NTB has always been high on Trubs most favored servant list. Whoever says cats are dumb are wrong - his is the *only* partner I've ever had that she's reacted favorably to!

just proves a point dear!

Sweetheart I've alweays known my cat is smarter than I am :) :)

Afterall which one of us sleeps all day, gets scritches when we want them and has food magically appearing ....

You have to realise that tortie cats are queens and therefore have loyal followers. They are also incredibly choosy about who they really like. She has excellent choice!

PS Cats don't have servants - they have slaves!

Melissa Hicks said...

Nah I'm a servant - I do get paid in cuddles and purrs .....

Love it! A throne for the grand ruler of the home...

Melissa Hicks said...

Last night she started to get on it, tested a few patches with her paw and then sat back on her haunches on the table and stared at me.

Yes I got up and rearranged the beanbag and sat back down. I swear the resultant purrs could be heard the next suburb over.

Hilary Syddall said...

Oh that is classic Gothy! Are you SURE you are a servant and not a slave?

Melissa Hicks said...

Sitting here with a bundle of fur in my arms against my chest, purring madly, shedding hair everywhere and removing my stresses - oh yeah I am more than adequately compensated!

Hilary Syddall said...

Well that makes it all worth while then, you can't beat a pet for stress relief!

Claire EJ said...

Unless you live with the 16lb Buzz-

Melissa Hicks said...

Well yes pets are good for creating the stress in the first place too :)

Claire EJ said...

He certainly did that yesterday and is still not totally forgiven.
I have bruises in odd places.

Melissa Hicks said...

What did he do?

Claire EJ said...

Decided to use my legs as the diving board and my back [around the shunt area] as a springboard.
Painful way to be woken up.

Melissa Hicks said...

OUCH !!!!!!

Hilary Syddall said...

OUCH!!!! Ye Gods 16 pounds of purr hitting you MUST have hurt

Laura Landis said...

My goodness, Claire! That boy must think he's a petite little thing that couldn't possibly cause any harm. I hope you're not too bruised!!

It's colourful to say the least....
