TGIF !

I have been astonishingly productive today.

I am aware of this fact due to the number of people informing me how astonished they are!

  • My office no longer resembled a bombsite.
  • Noticeable progress on most projects has been made.
  • Some possibly controversial suggestions/recommendations/actions have been accepted very positively.
Scared now.

Going home for a weekend of watching the cricket.  Couch Sloths Unite!

Would that be the United Union of Couch Sloths or the Amagamated Union of Couch Potatoes and Sloths?

Stick an "l" in there and I'll join the union....

Amazed you made so much progress, well done Uber Minion!

What part of sloth do you not understand - do you really think we care enough to excited over which type of union?

Seeing as you are headed for serious slothdom, can I have some of your energy please! I want to get the house looking good for when Clearstar comes to visit :-)

Well I'm out of money again until payday (regular lament these days) so after taking my new toy in to get fixed, and a skerrick of food shopping, I'm home and watching the cricket and stitching for the weekend.

Hope to get more done on Is it my Eyes in daylight hours. Laura's RR arrived yesterday so I'll work on that at nights and hopefully get it posted off next Friday (pay day) when I send off Christmas presents, take local presents to a framer etc ....

I'm going to be working on my RR over the weekend to or it will get sent with nothing on it. HAHA

I'm not even LOOKING at next year's yet :) That will be after Christmas I think!

If I wait until after Christmas to start I wouldn't get anything done. At least this way I have a chance of a tree or two :-)

Cant wait to start work on yours!

Sounds good. Perhaps I should make a start on mine.

My current to do list is:

Laura's RR
Fifth Christmas present
Finish Engagement stitching
Finish BoInk
Start my RR

That should get me through to the end of the year at least - and requires nothing else to stand up and holler at me to work on it.

:-))

I don't - and if I didn't have to go to the second concert tomorrow I'd slouch right with you - Sloth must be my middle name

Quite a list to do in December only :-)

I've only just put a few stitches into my RR - and they have to come out again... luckily it's only about a dozen crosses, LOL. I want to get started properly on it around Christmas

Melissa Hicks said...

I think I'll get through the first three - the other two will probably extend into January :)

Sounds like a lovely weekend! And while I love spending time with friends and family over the holidays, my plan to end Thanksgiving weekend with a Couch Sloth day was dashed...

Melissa Hicks said...

Oh bother - what happened?

A small miscommunication, and not really a huge deal, but it eliminated my plans for Sunday (originally rest and recoup for a new work week.) MIL arrived as planned at lunch time on Friday. J and I both thought she was leaving Saturday afternoon (since he worked Saturday evening and I worked Saturday overnight). She had planned on staying until Sunday. No big deal, and as long as she didn't mind being on her own for a bit, she was welcome to stay. A storm that was supposed to arrive late Sunday afternoon arrived Sunday morning; MIL ended up staying until yesterday morning.

Not a big deal in the scope of things, and I really didn't mind. But I was really looking forward to a day of down time to decompress...

As you say - not earth-shattering, but it would really have been better if you could have had that time :) Do you get time to yourself this weekend?

I may - depends on how well behaved The Jerm is... we're supposed to go decorate cookies, but he's been a total monster lately, and if he has another melt-down, we will turn around and go home.
