OK life is back to normal!

Was talking with Alison on the phone this evening and asked her what she wanted for Christmas.  After the usual "you don't have to get me anything" she finally relented and said she'd LOVE something small stitched by me.

So I figured great - I'd always been meaning to stitch a version of this up for her.  I hunted high and low and found suitable fabric, and I still have all the threads from last time .... great.

THREE hours later and I still haven't found the chart.  Something tells me I may have given it away ....

So I figured I would do Fanta Cat's The Spirit Within instead.  I have the chart and I actually have the fabric!

I don't have ANY of the threads ....

{sigh}  Life is back to normal.

sighs...I would have loved this one too...it's such a fun piece and so appropriate.

Normal, did you say normal? Do we even know what that is these days?
LOL.

Is Alison still coming to stay for Christmas?

I was going to add a another line under Alison's so it read:

Some of my best friends are witches (or librarians)

I've looked everywhere for the chart. I really don't know if I still have it or I gave it away - I know I planned on keeping it as I've always meant to do a version up for myself - but I also know I'm impulsive with my generosity sometimes.

Perhaps I should just bite the bullet and buy another copy of the chart.

Don't know - she been for interviews for jobs in Melbourne and Brisbane - which ever job she gets she will be moving around Christmas time - and if its Brisbane, then I wont see her.

Hugs Mel!! I an imagine you RAKing the chart once you had stitched it once because you wouldn't need to do it again. Could you not do something from Subversive for her?

Eep! Hope it's Melbourne...

I hope for you it's Melbourne :-)

Actually the Brisbane job looks much more promising and fulfilling for her. I think she will be happier career wise there. Just means she will have to visit interstate a few times a year :)

Does the broomstick still work?

Nah I definitely remember wanting to stitch up a copy for myself!

Have re-ordered the chart and hope it turns up sometime soonish ..... I don't really have 4-5 weeks to wait for International Mail ...

Maybe I should order the threads for the Fanta Cat piece and just stitch whichever arrives first?

That's how it usually goes - but that's also most important - that she's happy and that she gets a prosperous opportunity.

Amen,
Good luck with the threads!

Exactly! I'd love my friend to be living in close proximity to me - but I wish more for her to have a job she enjoys and is fulfilling for her. Wherever that may be.

Oh Alison is my other attendant in the bridal party. Just the three of us: Alison Claire and welll umm me.

Damn, would be great for you two to still live near each other but c'est la vie. If the best career path is Brissie, then so be it. She'll be hapier where she feels fulfilled.

I've spent the night away from the computer. I have the wording for Friends as witches done.

Broomstick and con trail tomorrow night.

Gosh that was quick!
I've been either playing with phone or on here so nothing done yet today.
Heading back to RR any minute.

I emailed Patty and explained the situation and she very kindly sent me a pdf of the pattern. Just this once. Just because we have a history together and just because I was willing to pay for a second copy of the chart when my first one went missing and also because she is a REALLY NICE PERSON !!!!!

So I printed it out, brought it home, had dinner and then stitched like a fiend for three or four hours ....

Wow, she's a great person to do that! How cool.

She is very very very sweet!
