Mel, EVERY cat goes bonkers if you leave them alone with a ball of yarn! No matter what age! My Sarah still 'unrolled' balls of wool when she was 18+
And I have to trick my little ones, especially Söckli. Let her have her own way with yarn and you won't recognise your yarn anymore She really gives it the "loving kitty treatment"...

There are many reasons I love my 13 year old cat. Couldn't *think* of going to a kitten now!

Oh you have cats like that too? The only thing I could think of when I was pulling it out was - imagine it trying to come out the other end .........
Actually I've done that too - but shorter lengths thank goodness - like little pearls on a string.
