Outside in my little front courtyard I have a glass bowl of birdseed - trying to tempt birds to come into the area.
My cat is sunning herself out there in the garden. Trubs goes orgasmic in pure sunlight.
There are birds coming to and from the food - not concerned in the slightest that there's a fully grown cat less than a metre away.
There's a fully grown cat, completely ignoring all the juicy plump pigeons that are landing less than a metre away from her ....
Yet if *I* walk past the front window or out the front door, the birds scatter and the cat stares at me accusingly.
This state has been ongoing for over two hours now .....
I think I'm obviously missing something that's going on in the natural world around me ......

Perhaps we'll bump into each other sometime in that alternate space/time continuum.
Cool I had to highlight the words to read! It is like a secret code! Caitlin is refusing to get dressed and my patience is wearing thin! I am laughing as I read this as I can identify completely - as I have to cats and a bird table!! - the theory is it is safe to have a bird table as the birds watch out for each other!
Anyway I was looking of a pic I took with the cat on the bird table but came across this instead!!
Um not sure what to say to this Mel other than keep trying (and ignore the stares Trubs throws at you!)
and the cat is thinking "sashimi!, I'll take the one at the back there please waiter"
You mean I'm not the only one?
I adore the picture! Trubs was like that when we had the axolotl !
Ha! Today I re-potted Hector II, put fresh bird seed out, gave Trubs a huge bushing, getting rid of that winter coat of hers *and* washed all her outside bedding. All of that and they *still* wouldn't let me play with them!
Humph! I sat inside all afternoon and watched Buffy re-runs while stitching on Christmas presents.
LOL Interesting happenings there, Mel...
Nah, its not only you. When the sun is shining Boris actually lies under the bird table looking up whilst the birds perch and eat seeds and carefully drop the husks down on him.
{giggle} I can see that .... well I know I don't have to worry about Trubs killing birds anymore .... she used to be far too good at it!
Hmmm - did anyone else find this? Ity looks like white wtriting on a pale teal background to me.
If it is white writing on a white background to others I might have to change the theme again.
Yes it is white writing on white background and you do have to highlight it to read it
Yup Mel - it's white on white here
I've got teal on white :)
OK Firefox displays it correctly but IE does not - stupid IE.
Will find another theme tonight.
Cool pic Rachel.
Had to quote the entire post as I am being messed around on here..
There's a "Hector II"? Cool.
T'ree will be all lit up this winter but not indoors. She is too big now to move far.
We'll be having the fake tree with loads of stitched ornies on it.
It is white writing on a teal background, but it's a funky font, I think that's the real problem....
Theme is lovely, just go into the CSS and change the font to an easier one :)
How do I do that?
aaarrrggghhhh. I was sure you knew how to mess around with the css...
Is it just a made up style page and theme you use?
Yup. I just use other people's themes - have no idea how to make one up myself. Something I've been *meaning* to get around to - probably after Christmas.
You & me both - I know pieces, very small pieces....
